  1. What's the words to his song, can never quite make it out
  2. 100% this. Hamza getting a full season with Watford has probably given him a bit of extra prep for this division but this is probably his level, whether as a sitting midfielder, inverted FB or whatever. He just lacks that bit of extra positional sense & awareness for the top level.
  3. Big Nige reading the love for him here
  4. The ones he rightly told to "fvck off and die" 😄
  5. Think he's more of a KDH style player than a pacy winger though. With the other wingers I think he's wasted out wide.
  6. Worst thing is my phone corrected it to gobbling 🤣
  7. If Nach hadn't got that goal there was every case for bringing Vardy on at HT. Nacho just isn't a no9 in any league. He can do the Maddison 10 role or even the Ndidi/Casadei role in this formation but he drops too deep for a striker. This style needs someone up top that stretches the defence and makes them drop back a yard.
  8. If the ref had booked Gibson for his first foul on Nacho they wouldn't have had so many complaints but he booked him for the weaker challenge straight after he booked Duffy then he booked Barnes for gobbling off. They're just whining because they lost control of the game in that final 15.
  9. You'd have thought the same with Cov and Luton last season. There's always one that breaks the mould and ends up in the mix and just having a solid defence can get you a long way in such a bunfight of a division.
  10. Neither. He's barely had a chance to show some form, I'm holding back til he's actually played a few games. My point is our fanbase don't have a middle ground, won't give people a chance and players are automatically classed as world beaters or total sh1te after 20 minutes.
  11. We're 3-0 up, Stephy's already got 2, runs through on goal and squares it for Vardy to make it 4 😜
  12. I've come away from all of the FB groups too because of ridiculous comments flying around and sometimes from people who should know better. There's no middle ground anymore, no time for players to improve or to just say they were ok. I've not been totally impressed with all the signings either but some of our fanbase need a huge reality check about where we are and who plays here now.
  13. I thought that last season when Sheff and Luton went up. We literally needed one win last season and we'd have made it through this season too. With those two, Everton crumbling and Bournemouth trying to be "next level" by sacking O'Neil, we'd have had a great chance to rebuild. That said it gives you a sense of perspective when you hear fans of Wednesday and WBA ringing radio stations about the mess they're in with owners. Wednesday's owner sounds like a poundshop Top and the Baggies guy - Lao Che from Indiana Jones? - has cleared their accounts and can't get them sold fast enough with their parachute payments running out in a few months.
  14. His workrate is exceptional and that's probably where he nudges himself ahead of Wanya and others. He's reponded to the other wingers coming in and upped his game. His goal is about two things - Vardy's run to create space and his determination to sprint 20 yards into the box to get in on goal. If Stephy is a bit more unselfish he might even have had a second goal too. He probably doesn't have the same tricks and step overs that others have but as Albrighton's demonstrated over the years, attitude and workrate will get you further than a showboat.
  15. In retrospect, given he'd been away with England, he could have left Doyle out tonight. The kid's played a lot of games without a proper break over the summer and maybe just needs a bit rotating to get his freshness back. Mads Vesty Coady Justin Ricky Winks Macca Wilf KDH Mavididi Vardy The one obvious thing from the Southampton game is that Vardy occupies defenders way more than Nacho and it stretches the opposition backline. There's still a reputation with the guy and CBs are attracted to him like Primark security guards watching a single mum with a double pushchair with only one kid in it. Nacho drops too deep and we lose ten yards of space to play in.
  16. Didn't Tragedy Chanting recently get mad a criminal offence?
  17. Credit where due, he had a very good game and if you're going to be fair, had he made Doyle's mistake tonight we'd have slaughtered him. Clear and obvious that playing a higher line will expose him more but it's given the manager a nice headache going forward. I still think he'll bring Coady back in but there's every chance that it's at Faes/Justin's expense rather than Big Jan.
  18. That's just classic hindsight though. He's looked uncomfortable as an 8 all season, even the most one-eyed Nigerian Facebook dweller wouldn't have him turning into Prime Izzet tonight.
  19. The pitches were re-laid after Rodgers first season, and all the pitches at both the ground and Seagrave were done to the same standard. Given we have a Turf Academy with all the grass and ground science it's possible to get I don't think they'd be employing random contractors using leftovers and apprentices to lay the grass at a £100m facility. I don't know how it'd be possible to analyse our injuries without official club input. No-one outside the physios and doctors would have the specifics of the injuries, such as how it was caused (twisting, turning, impact etc) 21/22 was crazy but other clubs had similar issues such as Leeds and Liverpool. That season aside it wouldn't even get a mention if we were still at Belvoir Drive. Seagrave just gives everything a focal point. Worth noting also the womens team have had 3 or 4 players with serious knee injuries and they've never used Seagrave until the last couple of weeks.

  21. Me too. Hopefully his loan at Preston has given him a bit of a pre-season in this division and he can hit the ground running.
  22. Why? It's an opinion the same as applause. And I guarantee you most of these players have heard worse at their previous clubs. As Barnes is finding out, the stick you get here is minor compared to what you get at bigger clubs. I actually thought given the crowd's reaction to him, especially during the final ten minutes of incompetence, it was obvious the boos were aimed at the ref, especially as it contiunued when he walked off. Besides it's the only time during 97 minutes that some fans show a flicker of emotion. I genuinely wonder why some of our lot just don't take a trip to the museum for all they get involved during the game.
