  1. Irrelevant. We got up and stayed up for 8 years last time and we didn't expand. What we did was stagnate, force potentially 1000s of fans, especially young and new fans, to miss seeing their side in action because PL tickets were constantly sold out apart from a handful of returned tickets each home game. We were on the verge of going ahead with this, spent millions just on planning and surveys and then Covid and relegation happened. Given how quickly we ploughed on with Seagrave, there's no reason not to do the same here. The village and extended development area is all about growing the King Power brand. If Top doesn't do so, it's a sure sign of long term ambition or even ownership, being in doubt.
  2. Similar numbers against Preston and Blackburn. Though TBF most of those passes were 5 yarders to Choudhury or Souttar. His transformation has been incredible. Though I never really got the level of hate against him, he was just an awkward player looking out of place in a Rodgers set up. But along with Ndidi, Choudhury, Nacho and probably Praet too, it's clear there was only ever one person responsible for his poor displays. Amazing what a better man-manager can do for a player isn't it?
  3. Despite all the hype and generous pricing there's still only two blocks open for this in the West Stand. Can only hope the England game helps to generate more interest as the season goes on.
  4. I don't know about retiring. That was goal 175 today, if he gets to 190 this season, maybe more on the current ratio, are we saying he won't want a final crack at PL football to hit 200? Even from the bench someone with his experience would be invaluable.
  5. £45 for the grey t-shirt. The Grey After All KDH t-shirt they brought out last month is £25. People were looking at the tags and openly laughing.
  6. 1 point needed. Saw earlier we needed 4 points from 2 games to get the best ever start.
  7. You see that Brum & Baggies game and you wonder what the hell we're doing back in this league, the difference in class is incredible. This 46 game punishment for being gash last season seems excessive. Maybe we should suggest a PL sinbin in the future. We accept we were shit, drop out for 5 games at the start then start our season in September.
  8. It's probably going to be January during AFCON before he gets a run of games, certainly starts. I've not been impressed so far, he looks a bit of a square peg right now but worth remembering Yunus was being hung out to dry as short a time ago as the Norwich game. Most of what he's done so far has been neat, tidy and safe. When he gets a run, when he starts contributing more we'll look back at these first ten pages and laugh. Probably.
  9. If Ward Prowse can't get in past Henderson and Phillips, Winks is going to struggle. The current manager has probably never even heard of him.
  10. None of which answers the question from the OP. I don't think this side could be any more improved from last year. Ndidi looked a shadow of the player that arrived here 6 years ago and is now an attacking midfielder providing goals and assists. Nacho looks happy to be involved, Vardy looks two years younger, players looking for the exit like Choudhury, Praet and Vestergaard look like they're new signings. We don't concede from EVERY set piece The players look confident in the style and playing football in every part of the pitch. We are keeping clean sheets We look dangerous in attack Squad harmony is at Ranieri/O'Neill levels. The tippy happy football you refer to seems to have been misunderstood by a few people but after Preston it should be crystal clear - suck the opposition in, pull them out of their shape, 3 quick passes - goal. It's not Brendan all, it's not possession for the sake of it, it's leading to something. Every Championship side is short of a few Prem-level players but it's October, it's not important right now, the start has been amazing.
  11. His current one is as simple as it gets. Difficult to get it going when there's people in "the Kop" with clappers and flasks though.
  12. He'll get the players award even if he doesn't get the fans vote, like Kante in 2016.
  13. Think he could be more of a cover for Winks or KDH than the wingers. Seems clever and skillful enough to play as an 8 or a 6. How we use pace on the wings maybe isn't so much his game especially with Wanya and McAteer backing up Fatawu and Stephy already.
  14. Does need an update though. Still got the Maddison and Evans songs on there and none of the latest ones.
  15. We were talking about this last night and given how often he wanders forward into midfield areas, whether Faes could do the Doyle role and leave Vesty and Coady as CBs? It would also take the pressure off Justin playing every game. Otherwise my thought at the minute is for Coady and Faes. The way yellows are being dished out these days players will get game time from suspensions anyway.
  16. Think we had it first but no I'm not keen either. Think I'd prefer a simple "Enzo Enzo!" 😂
  17. TBF if they came straight over and applauded the fans I'd stay a lot more often but it took 5 or 6 mins last night just to finish shaking hands with every single Preston player and officials. Even the stay forever grannies with blankets and flasks on our row were packed up and leaving by that point.
  18. Because a lot of the decisions are still subjective. You can challenge something, the ref says no I'm keeping my decision and the respective bench(es) go wild with frustration. Liverpool would have challenged Jones's red card and the ref would have said no. Klopp would have exploded.
  19. Never understood this thinking. I celebrate the same as I ever have done. You can be stopped in mid-celebration by a Lino's flag and plenty of us have done that. We've also benefitted from it plenty of times too. The only downside to VAR as the last few days have shown is that it's being operated by buffoons.
  20. I'm not worrying about next season in the Prem with so far to go. We probably will go up but if we do I'm fully expecting another 8 new faces in the summer. Half this team won't be there and we might even have a proper pre-season if Enzo gets his way.
  21. Daka's in his last 2 months with us anyway. He was so close to going in August, I'd be amazed if Bournemouth or someone else in that bottom half aren't pushing for him again in Jan. If Nacho does play we've got to get better at getting the wingers running in ahead of him because he drops so deep he's almost playing with Winks and Ricardo. He's almost a false 9.
  22. Doesn't look like it
  23. Not but I've thought for a while given the amount of times he carries the ball forward or sprays a crossfield pass that Faes could do the inverted role on the left side covering Doyle. I've seen enough of Akgun to think he's capable of covering Winks for a game or two as well. Casadei not so much.
  24. Given they've got Ipswich at the weekend where one or both will drop points, a win here is massive.
  25. I don't see him as competition for their places, I see him more in the Ndidi and KDH 8 positions, clever enough at this level to be feeding Vardy and Nacho and unlike KDH he might play a pass within 30 seconds of receiving the ball.
