  1. For the first time in nearly 40 years I'm thinking of doing the same. Just doesn't feel the same somehow now and feel disconnected to the place. The mealy mouth corporate nonsense they come out with now is starting to really annoy me, do they honestly think people believe their utter crap.
  2. More King Power corporate waffle ... a bit like Top's supposed call to arms before the last game. Symptomatic of the numpties currently running the club (badly).
  3. Would surely offer more than Mr A Nother Daka?
  4. Absolutely YES of course but ... just like when Rodgers was attaining 5th place in the Premiership, just sensed and knew that their was a falsity about the supposed achievement which was wafer thin and that reality and demise was on the not so distant horizon. The position, like before, is built largely on the individual skill of certain players and not the performance of a team due to mostly poor management. In this second phase of the prophecy, the 'better' players have been of lower quality than the first ie looking good in the Championship and not the Premiership. If we don’t get a better manager or the current one doesn't adapt his stubborn ways, then the third phase is going to be far more difficult to take. We could be down among the dead men for years.
  5. Precisely! You wouldn't want to look at those sort of stats for say Lineker, Fowler or even Haaland in present day terms but, you'd have each one of them in preference to a mere stat producer surely because they can win you games! Sometimes I think the game has become so stat obsessed, control managed and sanitised, that it stifles the natural abilities and instincts of some very good players. An example with Enzo could perhaps be with his response to Doyle in the last match when appearing to discourage him making cross field passes, yet it was precisely that sort of mixing play up in a previous match by Doyle and Vestergaard that caused great problems to the opposition! I would argue that none of our 4 strikers are comfortable in the sort of way Enzo wants to play. Although supposedly top of the stats, I don't think Daka is either. He always seemed happier running onto the ball in more of the old Vardy type role. You have to applaud Vardy too for at least trying to adapt to both Rodgers and Enzo because it must have been bloody frustrating for him at times. In many ways those managers have only served to perhaps nullify the talents of probably their best game winning talent for the last few years. How many more talents have to be sacrificed on the alter of possession, control and ego.
  6. Me too, he's nowhere near good enough! They've probably got their own prospects already on a par with KDH, he'd be on the bench at best.
  7. Sounds as if the club has been ran by a bunch of imbeciles! How can you overspend by so much knowing what the rules are. Top is also culpable. I wonder if the rest of the family business empire is run in such a shambolic way since his father died?
  8. JJ is hardly an improvement though. He's faster but regularly out of position on the left and if he does get the ball, there's a good percentage chance he'll pass it to an opposition player.
  9. Good to me with the exception of JJ on the left who's a bit of a liability, forever giving the ball away! He is better on the right in fairness. It would be Doyle for me every day of the week. A natural left footer with the ability to play incredible cross field balls when Maresca isn't stifling him from doing so from the sidelines. He and Vestergaard are good outlets for changing the play from the mundane and now predictable in order to start an attack or move the opposition about .
  10. It's not so much the money spent but what they're spending it on. Those two players are about 20 and 21 and look great prospects, are improving very quickly and will make a profit like a number of their other signings have done. I don't think the same can be said of KDH. He's 25yrs, industrious but lacks quite a bit. I don't feel there's too much more to come from him. Price wise I think he's approaching his ceiling. I may be very wrong of course 🤣.
  11. See your point but, to the sort of teams that are likely to want him, 30m is a lot of money for a player of his standard. If you for example look at the profile of the sort of players Brighton buy, young, cheap with good potential sell on value he doesn't fit the bill. When they did show an interest it was allegedly at a knock down price. Mere industry isn't enough for a top team in the Premiership, some of his play is very limited. He's very exposed to those that may be looking at him and in the current climate there'd be far more potential value in an overseas player. As I mentioned, if one of our major buys next season was to be KDH for 30m I personally would be very underwhelmed just as I was for Perez.
  12. Apart from Praet, why anyone would pick him God only knows. The very occasional good ball but overall contributes very little, hardly industrious and the only time he busts a gut with effort is to try and keep away from a 50/50 challenge. He's symptomatic of why we lack fight and aggression in the Championship and lose out to what on paper is far inferior opposition teams. A gutless wonder.
  13. New sponsors are apparently Slumberland!
  14. I think you greatly over value him. 20-25m tops. Not good enough by far for a top side like Liverpool or even lesser one's like United or Spurs. Teams like Brighton and Fulham certainly wouldn't be paying anything like 30m, I know I'd be disbelieving of it if we tried to sign him for that! Clubs will also know that we need the money and the price will tumble. Certainly not a decent enough player to risk getting near to your FFP limit for as a club. Looks good in the Championship but, for all his work rate and industry, just mediocre for the Premiership I'm afraid imo.

  16. Still do. Tend to favour the tramp/homeless vibe.
  17. We won't get 30m. Clubs know we need the money so will chisel it down. He's not worth 30m anyway.
  18. Absolutely agree with all that, a tragic waste of talent. Delusions of Rodgers proportions.
  19. Sensi's wife on social media confirmed that they were looking forward to moving here and that it was Milan that changed the plans at the last minute. Think that's the nearest you'll get to any truth.
  20. Think you're totally missing the point that KDH, as an academy product, is potentially our most saleable and profit worthy asset in order to raise revenue to attempt to balance the FFP books. You don't do that by swapping players. In fact if we did go up and face a points deduction, such a stunt would only serve to attract a bigger punishment!
  21. Burnley's demise is largely down to the useless Kompany. Poor recruitment and unsuitable tactics and 'philosophy' (I hate that expression) for the players he has. Enzo has a contract until 2026. We seemingly can't afford to pay him and his staff off. Are they really likely to make themselves unemployed? Can't see anyone else rushing in to take them.
  22. But ... he got sacked from his last managerial job too at Serie B side Palma. He also disappointed there. Clearly there's more to being a manager than being an assistant and then trying to copy a successful one in your first two jobs.
  23. Plain as the nose on your face isn't it. More stubborn know it all management.
  24. Weeks to go and rarely played all season, why would he? It's just a job and he's probably just looking forward to the next one. Don't think I'd have too much interest either to be fair.
