If after 80 minutes it's blatantly obvious that we have little or no sense of being able to score then to not change things seems a little stubborn. That was due to Rodgers mismanagement, in particular, trying to shoehorn him into midfield roles he wasn't suited to (a bit like Vestergaard, not played to his strengths). Soumare, a young player from abroad, perhaps didn't have the belligerent steel of Vestergaard or his experience and his mismanagement and omissions by Rodgers probably took their toll mentally and he just wanted out, I can't blame him.
