  1. It's always the same because nobody actually knows why a deal really breaks down regardless of medicals or intent. For example, in the case of our dealings with the Portuguese, there were certain allegations that the owning club tried to make more out of the deal at the very last minute hence things stalled. Likewise here, even if the medical went well, if the host club tried to extract more money at the very last minute then good on Rudkin to tell them where to stuff it! It's business after all. We supposedly know how Torino messed about re Praet so why should these be any different. If you show weakness now you will be assumed weak in the future. It's difficult to judge without full inside knowledge.
  2. Praet the worst player due to his disappearing act, lack of commitment and interest. Sooner gone the better. Mcateer close second bad in fairness albeit no lack of effort. Just doesn't appear anywhere near good enough at this level and perhaps flattered to deceive with his well taken early season goals. Coupled with Praet it was a recipe for making our right side null and void. Fatawu, Albrighton and Akgun all way ahead of him.
  3. Yep, apart from all those things he could be quite good 🤣🤣
  4. I just wish he'd get to the gym, toughen up, stop flopping to the floor like a limp dick and be more aggressive and nasty.
  5. I think we'd have to be desperate through injury or suspension for him to get another game in a Leicester shirt after tonight's performance.
  6. So we can therefore make Praet a total write off under the impairment scheme then?
  7. No not quite yet but I would put him before Coady perhaps?
  8. Had to put my glasses on, I thought that said Fake Bollock!
  9. It's the same calendar used to determine dates of birth apparently.
  10. Several things always would have to be taken into consideration agreed in fairness. Initial manner of driving or reason for requesting sample, the officers observations ie the defendant was seen to get out of his car and stagger all over the place, previous driving history or convictions and of course, as you rightly say, the amount of alcohol in the blood. In the absence of the latter, a court and magistrates are unusually allowed to make assumptions and sentence accordingly ie there'd be a difference between a person who is surly but otherwise seemed sober and one who staggered all over the place and threw his kebab up down the front of the officers uniform albeit he said 'shorry' 🤣
  11. Hardly comparable really. You can be equally punished for a refusal as being over the limit. Penalties for failure to provide a specimen Failure to provide a specimen is a very serious offence, if you're found guilty of failing to provide a specimen, and are caught driving or attempting to drive, you could face a minimum 12 month driving disqualification, and/or a fine of up to £5,000, community service and worst-case scenario, up to six months imprisonment. If you are found to be in charge of a vehicle and have failed to provide an evidential specimen you could receive 10 points on your licence, a discretionary disqualification, a fine of £2,500- or three-months imprisonment.
  12. Some legal rep, instructs his client to commit an immediate offence for which he will be arrested 🤣. Don't think so do you.
  13. How much? How does that fit into FFP and selling before we can buy mantra. Pure idol speculation.
  14. Absolutely. I'll cheer him on if he played and wish him well but, apart from his goals I didn't see a great deal else. Hardly surprising really as it's early days. For a game against this sort of opposition I too would go with the experience and consistency of Albrighton.
  15. There's a number of players who can be sold that wouldn't need to be back filled and he's probably one of them? If we class him as a winger we already have Mavidivi, Akgun, Fatawu, Albrighton, Wanya and perhaps other young prospects. Admittedly there are question marks re contracts about a couple of those. Although Mcateer has taken his goals well, his other contribution has arguably been questionable and hardly indicative of a Premiership standard player.
  16. Very nieve really. Torino may have made an offer to the club, even at cut price, BUT, that doesn't mean the player wants to go there for a variety of reasons! First and foremost money! Does the player want to go there or would he be better off waiting until the summer, think about it! What's he on now compared to what Torino are offering now (if it's even true). Has he got family? Do they want to go? What do you do for a living, have you got family? Would you move for less money just to kick a ball around? It's just a job!
  17. Or 'Danny Ward to challenge Conrad Logan's Record'? (Anstey Nomads are on standby ready to sign!).
  18. So, if you were in charge, of those seemingly immovable players, how are you actually going to achieve it? You can't sell what nobody wants to buy and you can't sell anyone who refuses to be sold. It doesn't matter whether your name is Stadt or Rudkin, the problem remains.
  19. Absolutely. Not nearly as easy as some seem to think. Because of the wages they're on, or length of contract awaiting a potential more financially viable free transfer, how many of those players (or their agents) would leap at the chance of a move even if a club wanted them?
  20. Agree. He did take the goals he did score well I thought. However, for the rest of the games he appeared to contribute very little. Squad player in the Championship at best. We need more quality and not quantity for the Premiership and ditch as many as possible in the summer along with those players whose contracts are up with the odd exception perhaps.
  21. Whilst I don't disagree, I'd have previously said the same about Ndidi.
  22. I must admit, it was Morsey and Burgess that impressed in the first game the most.
  23. Bipolar - can cause extreme mood swings that include emotional lows (depression) and highs (mania or hypomania). 😁
  24. It really isn't that difficult to understand surely? Why do you merely presume that it's down to poor officials that we can't get rid of our excess players? Yes, they may well have wrongly been given contracts that were too long and wages that were too ambitious but, the football landscape for us was quite different when this occurred. We also had a manager that requested a bigger squad to supposedly compete in Europe. The fact that at the end of that manager's tenure, most of his signings weren't playing and we were still using mainly the same players as when he arrived, possibly supplemented by academy products he'd had nothing to do with, speaks volumes. Either way, we're left with a certain nucleus of players who we can't shift because quite frankly, they're not good enough for the wages they'd command. Why would any player move on and potentially cause himself and his family a large financial loss. It's just a job to them, they are not supporters. For those that think they'd be gagging to move just in order to play is nieve. They may as well string it out for the last 6 months or a year and leave on a free when similar opportunities will still be there or potentially even better because they'll cost the next club nothing and can perhaps even negotiate a better pay package. No current lcfc officials can do anything about this, the players, no doubt advised by their agents clearly have the upoer hand. The club means nothing to them, their careers quite understandably do.
  25. Agree, think that's our strongest team at the moment.
