  1. Yeah agree. I've heard the 2016 stories a million times now. I know it's a big part of his career but its gone stale.
  2. Pochettino wanted more control over transfers and ins and outs of the club like he had at Tottenham, but Chelsea are run differently. I personally would give him that control as he's a top coach.
  3. Are people really desperate for him to leave ? What???? I don't get the hate for him.
  4. Re: Fabrizio. The big clubs got larger fan bases which means more engagement and social media traffic. Game is game.
  5. It is what it is, and I understand the industry, but its infuriating that every half decent player and manager have to be treated like prostitutes to the highest bidder. Journalists like Fabrizio as well as pundits and podcasters are non stop engaging in linking players to the big clubs. Case in point, Xabi Alonso can't even finish his season and all the talk was about him moving on to Liverpool or Bayern or Real Madrid. We can't have nice things in this game.
  6. Might be unpopular but I'd actually give Ten Haag 1 more season. Arteta finished 8th twice in a row when he first came.
  7. Chelsea are a joke. Poch was starting to build something. Chelsea got the youngest squad in the PL and with that comes erratic performances.
  8. Greatest there ever was ❤️
  9. If its easy to dominate with MCFC, Bayern and Barcelona then why hasn't other managers done it. Why didn't Pellegrini or Mancini win the treble or 4 in a row? Why didn't they get 100 points? Pep is an elite coach and one of the greatest of all time. He's revolutionised football and he's got every team from the PL to Serie C copying his methods. People talk about money he's spent but Chelsea and Man Utd have also spent billions. If Pep took charge of United in 2016 they'd be winning multiple titles by now. Pep is one of the GOATS.
  10. We're just old. Man Utd used to dominate, they three peated twice. I don't remember people saying the league is boring back then. I understand MCFC and their 115 charges, but in my opinion the the quality of football is better now, its just a different team dominating. Less of Bolton, Stoke, WBA. More of Brighton, Wolves, Bournemouth. The latter 3 are far more aesthetically pleasing.
  11. Pep hot a stranglehold on this league. His closest competitor (Klopp) is gone. Until Pep leaves, nothing will change.
  12. Mad to think they're only 3 titles behind Arsenal. They'll probably overtake them by the end of the decade.
  13. Sheffield United conceded 103 goals. Even though they got 5 more points than the Derhy side, they're still the worst ever PL side imo.
  14. When was the last time Oxford was in the second tier ?
  15. He wouldn't play second fiddle to prime Jamie Vardy, which is fair enough. He's had a good career since he left us.
  16. Pitch invasions are kind of tinpot tbh.
  17. Manchester City are the greatest ever Premier League side and Pep will surpass Ferguson, in due time. I'm old enough to remember Man Utd dominating but they won leagues with 75, 79 and 80 points. They won leagues with Berbatov winning the golden boot with 19 goals. Haaland is on 27 and will probably stat pad another 4 on Sunday Jamie Carragher is correct on this. 175 wins in 228 PL league games is ****ing insanity. Financial doping, 115 charges etc I get all that but it's not like Man Utd and Chelsea haven't spent a billion+.
  18. I disagree. They've had enough opportunities to establish themselves. They're just a shit club, honesty. Sad because they could potentially be bigger and more relevant.
  19. Peak Ricardo was just sensational. Our best RB. Ever. I'm sad that we will never see his peak again. Love this man
  20. Tbh Norwich are a pathetic club. Countless opportunities to establish themselves as a proper Premier League club but they flop every time. Good stadium, solid fan base, nice unique kit etc. Smaller clubs like Brighton and Brentford have done so much better. If Norwich go up they will just stink the place out like they always do
  21. I listen to an Athletic podcast yesterday about Newcastle, and the Newcastle representative on it was taking as if they were plucky little Hartlepool United who fluked their way to where they are. They had 71 points last season. They're currently on 57 points. They've lost 14 games this season. That's 37% of their league games. I don't have a strong opinion on Howe either way, but he's got some pretty good players. Isak, Botman, Bruno Guimaraea, Livramento, Tonali, Anthony Gordon, Harvey Barnes. I know they've had injuries but so have half the league.
  22. It's not like life before VAR was wonderful. There are less bad decisions now than pre-VAR.
  23. Brighton will finish between 10th and 13th. I know that's amazing for a small club like them but Brighton get hyped like crazy.
