  1. It's kind of an admittance that they weren't even trying yesterday. Which isn't exactly going to make anyone else want to take on this poisoned chalice.
  2. And now he can sod off.
  3. No, not really
  4. Next home match we will enter to see a big dial in the centre circle. Sat around it will be David Moyes, Graham Potter, Sam Allerdyce, Carlos Corberan, Mark Robins and Gary Rowett. Then a platform rises from under the centre spot. Who is it? Is that... Michael McIntyre? SPIN THE WHEEL!
  5. You'd hope so. Certainly better teams than us will lose by more to Chelsea at home, so as you say, not exactly knee-jerk.
  6. Ok, what's your hotline to Top?
  7. I hope he's happy now he's got his boss sacked!
  8. The words frying, pan and fire spring to mind.
  9. "This, lads, is how you score..." (Pulls out T-shirt cannon.)
  10. Funnily, the first advert under this announcement for me was, "Bungalow for Sale!"
  11. Unfortunately I think he's headed the ball a bit too often.
  12. I job share with Nick Platnauer
  13. Along with other greats such as ... Fancy a shag, I'm Fertile And Bugger Off, This Is My Tree.
  14. People often say, "don't give up the day job." I've never heard this said to Mulhearn and McIntyre (great name for a folk duo btw!)
  15. It's like all those Hollywood films where the president is in jeopardy, Olympus Has Fallen, Air Force One, etc... "The president's life is at stake! We must do everything we can!" During the film several characters will give their life to ensure the president survives. Meanwhile in the rest of the world it would be... "Meh, we can always elect another one. They weren't very good anyway."
  16. Twain, Wilde and Churchill are the holy trinity of quotes.
  17. Have I got this right? In the US, holders of important offices of state aren't elected, but, in rather monarchial style, appointed on the whim of the ultimate head of state? Essentially the US president is an elected King? (was going to put /queen, but since it's apparent that it ain't going to happen any time soon, why bother.)
  18. "Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see." Mark Twain
  19. Ok Mr Whelan
  20. Audrey Hepburn.
  21. Got some sad news for you...
  22. Let's do a Barca. I mean in the grand scheme of football revenue, shirt sponsor is very little and the good will for advertising a charity for free would be priceless.
  23. Is it ever acceptable to commit seppuku at work?
