  1. Good way to lose trade. As @Tuna says, think the joke is on them.
  2. Stop over reacting; we've all been to the City Ground mate.
  3. Blimey, that took you a long time to get back!
  4. Never heard it called that before Seriously, there's loads of nice places there and it's a terminus for the North Yorks Moors Railway.
  5. Splitter!
  6. Same.
  7. Surely you must have incaed some splinters?
  8. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-kent-67841156 New Year's honours. Well done to the young lad, but there's a guy called Dickon Love (no, seriously!) who is getting an MBE for services to bell ringing (no, seriously!)
  9. Outrageous!
  10. I wish it was made of PVC. Phwooar, eh!?
  11. Be a good game to do it on though.
  12. Not 100% sure, but the obligation to buy IS the clause and the amount is already agreed?
  13. Be sensible. They're not going to score.
  14. If Ipswich and Leeds drop points tonight then I'm saying it's a three horse race now, though realistically 2 horse, though realistically 1.
  15. Hull, in 6th, the last potential promotion position, are closer points-wise to the relegation zone (18 pts) than us (23 pts). That's crazy!
  16. Exactly. If it was 2-3 times, I'd put it down to how awful Royal Mail are right now (it's literally a postcode lottery whether you get letters or not) If we're getting beyond that, there's a problem their end. @Clive Langley, ask them to confirm the address they have for you, ESPECIALLY the postcode, as this is what the sorting machines read so as to send it to the right delivery office. Are you receiving other mail as usual? I'm assuming you don't have a shared letterbox, such as apartment or flat might have?
  17. Did I say that people shouldn't? No. I said I found it weird. My horse is very low. What is a forum for if not voicing opinions?
  18. I thought you were going to say "an active base of 10 members"
  19. So with the 700m she could buy Beyonce too?
  20. I once logged into a football forum. The team in question were absolutely demolishing the league, but had recently drawn away to the next best team and everyone was pointing out how useless they were, if only they did what they thought they should do, they could never possibly lose. Like some Faustian pact. Spooky!
  21. You know... When you had last week's dental appointment, when is your next weekly appointment?
  22. Something I notice every Christmas is the source of my tips from the people I deliver to. The ones who are constantly running me ragged and making full (and beyond) use of my services, no chance of a tip. They're also the most likely to moan, like the guy who complained he'd had a text telling him his parcel was due for delivery in the morning as I arrived at 11:50 . Those who occasionally get something are by far the more likely to tip. Again not saying people should tip, or that it should be expected, but the source of it is interesting. I asked other posties if this was their experience and 100% agreed.
  23. As a devout fan of Discworld, I can only say, "ook!"
  24. The thread title is Cost of Living Crisis. Are you having a cost of living crisis if you can afford an EV? I don't think so.
  25. So essentially the less well off shouldn't bother trying to save money? Weird. I think you miss my point. Often those who are less well off, can't afford the extra money that is required to save money. I'm not saying this on my account, I'm very content with what I have, which is enough and then some. There is however an inverse correlation whereby the better off you are the more opportunity exists to save money. Lower mortgage rates, lower loans, preferable banking services, the ability to not even bother with loans and pay outright, being able to buy quality that lasts longer. Heck, if you're really wealthy, people will give you stuff for nothing! Cars are absolutely the pinnacle of this. The poorer you are the more likely you'll have an old banger that breaks down regularly, isn't fuel efficient, so costs more to tax and probably more to insure (relatively) because of where you live. Of course I don't begrudge people saving money, but the idea of constantly monitoring my energy bills, desperate to save pennies... Quite frankly, stressing. Just enjoy what you have.
