  1. I briefly saw BB as I flicked through channels. Is there now some fetishism angle to it? Just going by the presenters I saw.
  2. Sometimes Israel seems like the weedy kid at school who inexplicably has the protection of the school bully. I do wonder just exactly provocative Israel would be without US support. Don't know how much basis in fact there is in this, but don't certain Christian elements in the US (where such things still carry much weight) believe that the 2nd coming of Christ will literally be in geographic Israel and therefore the state of Israel must be supported? None of which excuses Hamas. I honestly don't understand war; when has it ever made anything better?
  3. As has been said, it's complicated. Is it because of UN resolution 181 which saw the founding of an Israeli state governing itself for the first time in 2000 years? Is if because of the Balfour Declaration made by GB in WW1, saying the would give that small part of empire back to the Jews as a homeland, to gain their support in the on going war? Is it the enmity between Arabs and Jews that goes back to Biblical times? The offspring of Ishmael and Isaac? It is all of these things and more besides. Probably the longest ongoing conflict in human history.
  4. Hey! Teacher, leave those kid alone!
  5. Yeah. A sword. A torch. A badge of authority. Seriously, I'm just well read.
  6. A drumstick? I really like drumsticks, especially the classic raspberry and vanilla.
  7. Still sat outside with the firepit burning away
  8. Last BBQ of the year Probably....
  9. One nation kills 40 of another nation. So that nation kills 200 of theirs. So they come back and kill 800.... And so on....
  10. WHAT IS HAPPENING!?
  11. Ah, that was nice of Ireland to let Scotland score.
  12. I get the feeling Ipswich are going to be right on us all the way and our games against them will be crucial (from a league title point of view).
  13. Shall we have a poll as to whether should give Vestergaard a new contract? I certainly would, don't believe for a second that it's just a case of being good enough for this level. Yes we will need to make signings in defence if (when?) we go up, but in certain games, Jannik will be just the man. Not his fault Bodger's couldn't see that.
  14. I kind of feel sorry for Ipswich (a team I've always liked since Bobby Robson days (managing, not playing!)). They've had a phenomenal start to the season, won 9 of 11 games and aren't top
  15. And 11 games?
  16. Rotation FTW!
  17. After yesterday's thrashing it looks like another one-sided game tonight. It's no wonder this thread has slipped off the 1st page when the games are so uncompetitive. I've said it earlier in the thread; the gap between the top ten countries and the rest of the world is massive, which kind of renders the World Cup irrelevant. Might as well just play the winners of the Six Nations (which should go back to being just 5) against the winners of the Rugby Championship.
  18. Who'd ever have thought someone would be concerned that Vestergaard isn't playing Personally, it's great that he's got himself back into that position.
  19. I looked it up on Google and thought to myself cos I was sure it was one of those funny English names that is spelt completely different to how it's said, like Mainwaring. I was also certain it was longer then Chumley. Don't trust the internet.
  20. Get well soon Kjvc©fc Pleag$yhj! ( @Sampson will not be at all offended by this)
  21. Weirdly, I'm assuming because of the old b&w video and pics, I read this in a Mr Chumley Warner voice
  22. Yeah, and she will be studying other paranormal activity, such as the belief in Wales winning the RWC.
  23. "And what were his eyes like?" "Big! Big! Everything was big! Absolutely all his facial features were huge!" "Anything else?" "He had a farmer's hat on. Too small for his head. Which was massive!"
  24. I think the problem is lazy labelling. It's called the male menopause because it's a negative health curve at a certain age, much like a woman in her menopause. But it's not actually a menopause, that is physically impossible in a man, and so it gets derided. Give it a different name and you'd get none of this.
  25. What about FFS at Tesci?
