I just can't be bothered when the weather's like this man. Got my 5k to sub 18m living in Leeds pre-Christmas and managed a ~1hr35 half back in Leics in April when I got bored of doing quicker, shorter jaunts and wanted something longer - but this weather knocks the motivation right out of me and it's subsequently done my fitness. Last time I went for a run was the start of June and I couldn't be bothered so this is a no go. Give me numb hands, wind and rain in my chops and sodden feet any day.

He was never ever anything more than adequate at PL level, astonishing how many people are changing tunes after a good cameo last night. He was horrible for us, won't play a game for Spain after this Euros, and certainly wasn't some sort of neglected gem. Relative to the money spent he was crap and his attitude was shit.

This is the crux of it, I think. I don't think our national fanbase is that hard to please, we were broadly pleased with a 1-1 draw with Russia we should've won in 2016 under Roy because we looked quite good in spells? People bleat on about the weight of expectation on England, but I genuinely think as a nation we'd have been fine with a draw against Denmark if we approached yesterday with an ounce of attacking intent. It's the nature of the way these games play out that's crap rather than the results.
