This! We have 7 nothing games now. Get some senior appearances in for some of the youngsters, which should breed a bit of confidence going into next season.

We need Winks next year. He’s dogshit at PL level, but he can play in the Championship.

Gave the crowd a lift on his own. Not many opportunities but looked tidy and confident. He should 100% start the next home game. No brainer.

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official
James_lcfc replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Faes and Vestergaard will be the starting partnership next year - Nelson will be behind Coady and Okoli in the pecking order. I'm convinced we will never see the back of some of these players - They are here forever. -
Impossible to judge without knowing a bit of context. If the club was happy for him to commute when he joined, it's pretty unfair he's being asked to do it now based on what a new manager expects. I wouldn't do it either. Obviously if he was told he needed to live closer it's a different story. I'm not the biggest fan of Winks, but he's decent in the Championship, so we could do with keeping him on side for now. Him and Skipp will be an acceptable pairing down there.
-
I wouldn't begrudge him joining another PL team next year and trying to push himself higher on the all-time scorers list. He's earned the right to do whatever he wants now.

We are an absolute joke at the moment, but there's no chance we're heading down to League One anytime soon!

People reckon we’ll be able to sell Ndidi for actual money in the Summer

No Game time for Monga / Rudd stands by contract if relegated.
James_lcfc replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ordinarily I'd agree with a bit of patience and not rushing him. ...but we've scored 4 goals in the last 14 league games. We really can't get much worse creatively. If he is a generational talent, he'll at least do aswell as Bobby f*****g Reid. Arsenal did it with Nwaneri, why can't we? -
(Apart from Mads) None of our players are worth what we will inevitably be asking for them. We are dreamers. Most of them will be here next year, I'm sure of it.
-
Maybe - But unless he has a low release fee (which is possible to be fair), they won't pay what we'll probably want for him. I just can't see him leaving this Summer.

No other PL team would take Ndidi. He's been absolutely awful at this level for a long time now. He'll be playing in the Championship again next season, and he's pretty good down there which is a positive for us.

"Sweden striker Stefan Selakovic of Halmstad has stated his desire to come to Leicester but with a fee involved Bassett said: "We've got no money." Didn't know we were once in for this CM01/02 legend! What could've been...

Worst Leicester team in the premier league era?
James_lcfc replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
Gareth Williams and Stephen Hughes in CM? Get them all back! -
Is Soumare a forward thinking midfielder? He has 1 goal and 4 assists in his entire career! Hermansen is more likely to nick us a goal.

Worst Leicester team in the premier league era?
James_lcfc replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
We haven't had many worse seasons in my lifetime to be honest...not just thinking about the PL. Those few years leading up to the League 1 relegation were worse, but this season is right up there with them. -
£10m for Soumare would be some of the best business the club has ever done!
-
Yeah, he’s terrible. Luke Thomas can’t get a game for teams in the league below yet is probably better than him. Absolutely abysmal options at left back.
-
I've said it on here before, but staying with us and playing Championship football (provided he's given the opportunity!) would be amazing for his career. If he smashes it at 16 his stock will be unbelievably high. But if he's being offered 4/5 year deals on ~£40k/week he'd be stupid not to take it. Setup for life money regardless of how well things go on the pitch. Staying with us would be a gamble unless the money we're paying is at least close to what the big boys are offering.

Yeah, hopefully. We need the playing/management staff to at least care about the results - Regardless of the absolute clown show going on above! -

Yeah - I do appreciate that. Agree the personnel is largely irrelevant at this point, but he should still be trying different things rather than just playing the same players due to some sort of stand-off with the board. -

If he's picking players out of spite, I'd say Ruud is high up on our list of problems. I understand he's been dealt a shit hand and is right to be angry, but if he's actively hindering us - for whatever reason - He deserves massive criticism. -
We would've sold him at that price if it was a straight deal. They obviously didn't fancy it being dependent on Sunderland getting promoted, which is unlikely. I'd argue a loan with possible £10m at the end would have been worth the gamble anyway, but that's me!

How does this team do in the Championship?
James_lcfc replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
That squad would be top 6 in the Championship with a shit manager. Decent one would have us challenging for the automatics. People are worrying too much Full squad of good/very good Championship players so it would do very well. Obviously the vast majority aren’t PL standard unfortunately but the gap between the two leagues is huge at the moment.
