  1. He mustn't fancy another season in the Championship then, which is understandable. That is his level now though, so nobody from a decent league is ever going to pay money for him. He couldn't get a gig elsewhere when he was on a free!
  2. Yeah, if you take the finances into it you might not be too far wrong. Fair enough
  3. Up there as one of our worst ever signings. ….and we’ve made a few bad ones!
  4. He’s not particularly good, but we’ve definitely had a lot worse!
  5. Suppose the comments about him not being our biggest issue are sort of fair… …but I just absolutely hate watching him play. Plus he’s like the face of everything that’s bad about us as a club at the moment. Poor financial management, shit recruitment etc etc etc.
  6. I’m sure we’ve already been relegated playing Faes and Soumare down the middle. It’s almost like we’ve forgot that both are proper dogshit. Hard to not get angry watching this.
  7. Even compared to other central midfielders, Soumare is in the 1st percentile for shots and the 6th for touches in the opponent's penalty area. You'd be better off putting money on Mads scoring...and he might not even be playing!
  8. So much green...I'm sold He's going to save our season!
  9. Injuries aside for a second - He's pretty good isn't he?
  10. I agree he's better, but not by much. Very little in it. Both are awful at PL level.
  11. Aside from BEK and Mads, there isn't a single player I'd be disappointed to see leave now. ...and I'm not surprised he's called out Bounanotte - I've never seen a player lose the ball as much him...massively outweighs any positives he brings. Infuriating at times.
  12. We bought him for the future didn’t we? Only turned 22 last month and is already a good Championship striker. Surely that suggests a decent amount of potential? It doesn’t make much sense unless we’re desperate for money and he was the only player with any concrete interest this window. Ah well. Good luck to him I guess!
  13. Nobody wanted him on a free in the Summer, now someone is going to activate a buy out clause? Nah. He’s not very good.
  14. I never put anything on for a hard run as I can't concentrate on anything else so it's pointless. I always put a podcast on for easy/long runs though. Great for zoning out.
  15. This. A quality central midfielder with a bit of dynamism would transform us. Our current options are awful. Only a striker should be of higher priority IMO.
  16. I can understand people calling for Dyche. Really seems like we’re circling the drain and could do with a ship steadier for a bit. ….but I really don’t think this group of players would respond to his ways and methods. A lot of them think they’re better than what they are and would turn on him pretty quickly. We’re a mess, from top to bottom. It’s hard to watch.
  17. If he’s not better than Faes or Coady he’s probably best off just retiring now.
  18. This is like a training game for them isn’t it. Hard to watch.
  19. Always been a big Stephy fan, but I agree he's underperforming this season and has been frustrating. Not sure he deserves singling out though and it's a bit harsh criticising his defensive work when he's right up there statistically when it comes to tackles, interceptions and blocks this season.
  20. Sometimes when I feel a bit deflated and frustrated about the current squad and the way things are going, I think of Mads. It helps! What a player. I hope he’s having a nice and relaxing bit of time off
  21. Don’t think it’s all doom and gloom just yet. That squad will do well in the Championship, even with a hefty points deduction. Mads will be sold, but a lot will stick around due to their wages and our inability to move players on. We have a whole squad of those types of players who are good or even very good in the Championship, but then struggle in the PL.
  22. We’re not about to enter another Levein > Holloway era are we? Can’t take another period like that, even if it was only 3 years! Things don’t seem great at the moment!
  23. The worrying thing is you can tell the players are really trying. Not like you can pin it on a lack of effort, they’re just not good enough as a group at this level.
  24. Yeah. It looked to me like it was no new charges until the outcome of appeal was reached when I read it initially. ...but as everyone seemed to be celebrating I just assumed I'd misunderstood!
