Still very young and lots to learn. …. but I already prefer him to Wout. Comfortably.
-
Yeah, ‘OK’ is probably how I’d describe his performances too. Why would I give credit for OK performances? I don’t think he played ‘well’ today…I’ll stand by that. We really need to have higher standards.
-
We are as bad as I’ve ever seen us in the Premier League. It’s just a case of when he goes now. He won’t turn this around.
-
He wasn’t terrible, but saying he played well is a bit of a stretch!
-
I’ve said it many times before, but I can’t wait for the day he leaves. Just absolutely awful.

This is the main worry with injuries like this. Especially with players who rely on their explosiveness.
-
True. A few bright lights coming out of the academy as well. Aside from that though...not great!

Not too many positives around the club at the moment. It's pretty miserable.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
James_lcfc replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
'Mona Fartlek' is good one to try for anyone who has been running for a bit, but new to intervals. 20 minutes overall including the recoveries so it's pretty low volume. 2 x 90s 4 x 60s 4 x 30s 4 x 15s Recovery is always the same as the rep, so 90s for the 90s etc etc. You are supposed to run the recoveries as fast as you can possibly recover at, so it's more of a float. Record the distance you cover over the 20 minute minute period so you have a benchmark to aim for next time. I'm sure Steve Monegehtti who it's named after wasn't far of hitting 4.5 miles, so there's your target! -

I have started doing intervals and threshold work recently after a few years of just running easy/steady. Forgot how much it hurts! -

Well Monga goes without saying to be honest. He is quite clearly a massive talent. He looks ready for senior football already to me. -

Cheers - I haven’t got the commentary on! A few of our players look promising, but he has stood out a mile to me. Haven’t heard too much about him previously either. -

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official
James_lcfc replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think he'll end up a top player, but I can see why Brighton were happy to loan him out in the short term. His decision-making isn't great, and he seems give the ball away often, which makes us vulnerable in transitions. Reminds me very much of a young Grealish. You could tell he was very talented, but I used to like him being on the opposing team, as you could reliably get the ball back off him in good areas and spring on teams. Football is all about entertainment for me though, so I'd have him in the team every week regardless of the above. Love watching him. -
Yeah I’ve always defended him as we just hadn’t seen enough of him. I have now though - Not even close to being good enough. Been one of our worst players so far, and the standard is extremely low. If we’re sticking with Cooper (gulp), we desperately need a new left back in Jan.
-
Was no worse than anyone else today. ….but the bar is low…
-
It’s the same every week, yet I’m still surprised by how bad we are. It’s on me at this point

Kristiansen is a trier, but my god is he poor. Doesn’t do anything well.
-
This sums him up well. I've never thought he was 'lazy' as he gets labeled on here a lot. I think it's a concentration issue - He's just never where you want him to be when we haven't got the ball, and the way he loses runners is infuriating. It's annoying as he's good on the ball, strong and can progress it well. Has (almost) everything for the position he plays.
-
If that was against us I’d have been going mad! Looked an obvious pen.

The complimentary posts in here are just baffling. Point away from home is the only positive to take from that. The performance was dreadful. Game 100% changed by the sending off.

Kalvin Phillips saved the day. What a guy. Very fluid and classy performance from us.
