Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager
Tommy G replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
That’s a completely daft comparison isn’t it? Whilst I loathe the ownership it’s their decision - has there ever been a football club in history where the fans have picked the manager? I agree nobody on Foxestalk wanted him, including me, but this is a very small and angry proportion of the fan base - you can see it’s not reflected wider than here given we’ve sold 23.5k season tickets. I think there is a section of our fan base that want our club to cease to exist as a big gotcha moment for the current ownership. We desperately need success this season and that won’t happen if we’re sulking about the manager choice like a child who wasn’t allowed any sweets. -

Fergie, Pearson, Warnock, Big Sam etc etc approach doesn't work in 2026. -

Whilst I empathise with supporters over the appointment, he wasn't my first choice either, we've got to get behind him and the team from the off. Nothing good will come with toxic shit towards him or the players from the first minute of the new season. I support any anti Rudkin and especially Top chants/protests and whatever comes with that. This isn't blind loyalty - my view can change 10 games in if he and the team aren't performing but off the bat we need to support. -

In defence of RM he probably had the camera poked in his direction numerous times yesterday where it wasn't wanted, and our social media team needed some ''CONTENT'' I think it was his way of laying out the basics, he's seen the running stats last year and already knows the team are a bunch of lazy bastards. I think our social media team are poor and this kind of content comes across very cringe. -

He’s told them to run and turn up on time which is a massive improvement already on the previous 2 seasons -
Looks like Goyard is the wash bag of choice for these clowns, I'd hoped now they'd dropped down to League 1 they'd be carrying their bits and bobs in a Morrisons bag.

Course he will if we get an offer of £2m upwards. We need to raise money by any means possible to an extent

Hamza getting a taxi in due to all his off the pitch antics presumably

Monday morning really hits hard. -
I guess it's because she get's decent airtime and she hasn't achieved much since the US Open win. It's also fashionable to hate on sportspeople. I think she's been unlucky with injuries, and she probably needs some consistency with a coach and that's her own doing.

Yeh it was a nice car just a bit small - I’d want the 50 variant as there is a 12 month wait so it’s a no go, thought the IX was crap.

Might be a bit of 2+2 =5 here -
But the players speaking well of Vichai is different to a CEO being incompetent, let me explain for you. You can easily believe she got overruled on big decisions by the owner, I'd imagine Top acts as Executive Chairman rather than a traditional Chairman (unfortunately) and gets involved in all kinds of decisions he shouldn't be anywhere near. Secondly - ex footballers toe the line, there is no merit to them to talk out of line about Vichai - maybe if one or two at the start did the rest would follow, but nobody wants to be the black sheep and/or be banished from the club forever - so it's easier to soundbite positively.

Whoever voted for Rachel Reeves needs their account revoking.

I don't think Friendly match pricing was too much on her radar, I'd rather a CEO be doing some more value add stuff than that.

What does a good season look like?
Tommy G replied to Sol thewall Bamba's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes embarrassing but not horrendous, we've been relegated twice in a row and that's enough embarrassment. It's the same outcome if we go up through the auto's or the playoffs so I don't think that option is all doom and gloom. -

Going up through the playoffs would be ''horrendous''? -
