I think it's more noticeable on Narb Rd as its a thoroughfare into the city from Fosse Park and south Leicestershire villages, I am sure there are other places within the city worse, it's just depressing how dirty it is, mattresses outside peoples houses - litter and crap everywhere. Dread to think what it will look like 5 years from now.

Vantis is an example of an ''non top 4'' accountancy practice that went under due to fraud effectively, never mind lack of competence with their clients. You haven't come up with an alternative strategy or your experience in dealing with your approach to cutting a cost base when the current mob haven't got a clue what they are doing. I'll ask again, what would you do??

Give it a break - you can't just label the entire big 4 as terrible. If you are talking about Audit and Carillion then yes there will be failures, it's a numbers game - there are plenty of issues with lower tier firms aswell, which is why they have tightened up audit reporting which makes the audit process now completely ridiculous and laborious, 3 months of the year I don't look forward to. What direct experience do you have with advisors to label them terrible? Or is it just something that you've picked up in the guardian. I deal with PwC Tax and KPMG for M&A and both in my experience are very good, but with anything there will be the opposite. Back to the subject, whether it's big 4 or otherwise, LCFC need some external help. Do you have a better suggestion?

I agree - as someone who has been in his position and promoted into a role, he is completely out his depth. He probably saw it as a great opportunity but given the complexities of PSR and the general shit show the club is in, they probably thought we'll chuck £120K at him instead of paying a for a proper FD/CFO, and for that size business and the experienced required they would have to pay £200-£250K and they probably thought it wasn't worth it. Idiots.

Multiple dozens I'm sure! If they cant do it themselves it would be worth spending a cpl of hundred K on a big 4 to come in and do a cost base assessment, it would probably payback in less than a month.

Probably 30%-50% more than it probably should - just because I have no faith in the decision makers to run the business properly and cut costs appropriately

I am sick of hearing him use Covid as an excuse to hide behind. Our business halved overnight due to Covid and we lost money for one year, we cut costs, renegotiated funding following a covenant breach and the following year broke even. Will make £10m profit this year a few years on. Bad people running a business always make an excuse but don’t fix the fundamentals because they don’t have the understanding how to do so, it’s easier to hide behind something else.

I guess none of the clubs mentioned won the PL or the FA cup in modern times, or played in the Champions League. So our fall from grace is a bigger one. That being said, got to admire a positive post on here!

People are finally starting to see what I've been saying all season. No doubt his fan boys will be out in force. Standout players still are 6/7 out of 10 in 90% of matches even if the team is crumbling. He is slow, has the reaction speed of a cat that's been run over. He is just as bad as the other cretins that play for us bar JJ, he is literally the only player that can come out of this season with his head held up high.
