  1. Well it does, ultimately the directors of the business discharge what is happening in 99% of businesses. We know who runs the club, just not sure how much influence they have is a separate topic - which is al just purely speculation.
  2. He can't make the team any worse, just hope he gets up to speed quickly and can stay injury free for 10 games....needs wrapping in cotton wool!
  3. But this topic is about who's in charge of the club. Just look at the club webiste or companies house for 5 minutes and it's there, the rest is just hearsay thats covered in 5+ other threads on the forum.
  4. Another topic to add to the other 6 since losing 3 on the spin and still sitting pretty at the top of the league. We're up there with Cov in terms of weird fanbases
  5. Given he has 100% investment in the club he might want to be completely involved in everything and be a ''problem solver'', it might be the culture he's set, doesn't mean it's right. There are a lot of blurred lines of what people think happens in board meetings in general and LCFC board meetings, it's likely to be a bit wide of the mark in my experience. In regard to @SemperEadem point it won't be his bag and will leave that decision up to someone else, whoever is the decision maker to put a case across to Top and the rest of the board for approval - he/she is who you need to be hassling. Rightly or wrongly they will be so distracted firefighting, player contracts, stadium redevelopment, corporate hospitality, commercial opportunities, cashflow review, FFP & 10 other things that safe standing will be way down the agenda, that's the reality of it.
  6. I unfortunately go into the one at Hinckley a cpl of times a week as our business is near there - it’s the supermarket of choice for the retired!
  7. Shame, they should branch out to airport departure lounges
  8. If your 75+
  9. Never thought I'd read about shopping tactics but you make an interesting point.
  10. I think you should lose the white socks black trainers combo on one of the pictures though
  11. I read your previous one, this was also good. You should work for the tourist board!
  12. ''Hunt hints at responsible tax cuts' You mean slightly less tax for individuals who are living through the highest tax burden since the second world war.
  13. Needs to step it up, leave the step overs at the training ground
  14. I heard someone say yesterday we should drop Mads because he let two in.
  15. Have had a cpl of pairs of on clouds - nothing better.
  16. Row in front of me - some bloke was cuddling his mrs and she had her eyes closed - not sure if fully asleep - but he was enabling this behaviour. They left on 88 mins for what it’s worth
  17. Overarching point is our fan base is so reactionary - this thread wouldn’t of even got started had we got a cpl of decent results recently - the fact is at the start of the season we had a squad (best ever to grace the championship) and a manager who has steered us to the top - that dressing room needs to get their heads together along with the coaching staff to rectify the slide - this has zilch to do with the ownership.
  18. Eh? Sorry is Top picking the team? I’m missing something here. So if we were at the point of breaching FFP in Jan you’re suggesting that’s ok because of the situation with Ndidi. The athletic and other outlets reported it was due to FFP, or do we just turn a blind eye to that and assume it’s Rudkin again. Granted he has a track record of a Vegan at a BBQ but I’m still waiting for which part of the slip in the last month is down to the owners vs the mentality of our players or the team the manager puts out!
  19. Not sure who their number 3 was but despite having the physique of a rugby player, hobbling, looked absolutely spent after 70 mins - Mavididi still couldn’t get the better of him, he was garbage yesterday and his head was down most of the match. Really poor
  20. Yes I agree with you, yes I think every poster can agree too that tonnes of mistakes were made pre this summer - if you read my post properly I’ve pointed that out - about 3 times. My question is what could the ownership of done this season? And is the last 3 league games been down to them? Because had we won all 3 there wouldn’t be this thread or any talk about January. Anyone with half a brain realises FFP mistakes haven’t been made this season - in fact we have a gold plated team at Enzos disposal to romp the league.
  21. You’d be pretty unlucky not to go up on 96 pts! But this season is unique with Ipswich and Leeds form. it’s squeaky arse time for us but it will be for other teams too - and they will drop points and may even go on a 3 game losing streak. We are still in the best position with points in the bag and hopefully our blip is finished, we’ll see over the next 3 games either way.
  22. And you’d be happy to breach FFP to get a midfielder over the line? Curious
  23. Sensible post alert - you’ll be banned with that kind of positivity!
  24. It’s an easy target to lump on after 3 defeats on the bounce - not sure I can remember the thread praising the ownership when we were flying and talk of breaking championship records etc. Aside from the past 2 seasons shambles, I’m not sure what Top has done wrong this season - everyone can agree what he did wrong prior to the summer - but we have the highest paid and assembled squads in the championship ever, we have one arm tied behind our back due to FFP (as have a dozen other clubs). I think most sensible posters will summarise well the decline since the FA Cup win - if we cock it up this year it will be the players and managers fault and no one else, you can’t put your hand in your pocket to buy mentality or mental strength. We need 5/6 wins, just get it over the line Enzo.
