  1. I enjoyed that.
  2. Mav to score now 😂
  3. That’s close to being I reckon the best we can expect. Let’s go.
  4. 10 men for 72 minutes. First half we were awful defensively. I’ll take the point. Second half we could have won it.
  5. Could somebody dm me a link please - I can't get the red button game on virgin go...
  6. You know we are away and playing a bottom 3 side?
  7. I’m thinking we beat Oxford comfortably but the following two fixtures against Cov and West Brom will represent a truer barometer of where we are as a club in this division and our chances of getting out of it.
  8. Phillip Larkin wrote a poem called Toads about working life and his detest for it... Later once retired, he wrote Toads re-visited which was about his affection for work (the toad) and the things he missed. My advice for retirement - have a plan, keep busy, don't sit and squat! Both poems in toad language below! Toads Why should I let the toad work Squat on my life? Can't I use my wit as a pitchfork And drive the brute off? Six days of the week it soils With its sickening poison - Just for paying a few bills! That's out of proportion. Lots of folk live on their wits: Lecturers, lispers, Losers, loblolly-men, louts- They don't end as paupers; Lots of folk live up lanes With fires in a bucket, Eat windfalls and tinned sardines- They seem to like it. Their nippers have got bare feet, Their unspeakable wives Are skinny as whippets - and yet No one actually _starves_. Ah, were I courageous enough To shout, Stuff your pension! But I know, all too well, that's the stuff That dreams are made on: For something sufficiently toad-like Squats in me, too; Its hunkers are heavy as hard luck, And cold as snow, And will never allow me to blarney My way of getting The fame and the girl and the money All at one sitting. I don't say, one bodies the other One's spiritual truth; But I do say it's hard to lose either, When you have both. .................................................................. Toads Revisited Walking around in the park Should feel better than work: The lake, the sunshine, The grass to lie on, Blurred playground noises Beyond black-stockinged nurses - Not a bad place to be. Yet it doesn't suit me. Being one of the men You meet of an afternoon: Palsied old step-takers, Hare-eyed clerks with the jitters, Waxed-fleshed out-patients Still vague from accidents, And characters in long coats Deep in the litter-baskets - All dodging the toad work By being stupid or weak. Think of being them! Hearing the hours chime, Watching the bread delivered, The sun by clouds covered, The children going home; Think of being them, Turning over their failures By some bed of lobelias, Nowhere to go but indoors, Nor friends but empty chairs - No, give me my in-tray, My loaf-haired secretary, My shall-I-keep-the-call-in-Sir: What else can I answer, When the lights come on at four At the end of another year? Give me your arm, old toad; Help me down Cemetery Road.
  9. Yep, all day long. What we need.
  10. Yes please.
  11. He really helped me after having had surgery 15 years ago. I was unable to stand in L1 as normal so moved me into a comfy leather seat with leg room for the rest of the season. Top bloke.
  12. There used to be a strike through type option but it didn’t let me hence the underline outcome. Everything is still cognitively quite tough.
  13. @Trav Le Bleu So I was at home this arvo following a trip to A&E with concussion… I’ve tried to explain to my wife tonight that I tried this and she thinks my concussion is worse and has taken some convincing that she doesn’t need to watch me sleep in case I die. With that out of the way the crisps (Mcyoys salt and vinegar), tasted sharp and very crispy (more so than usual) and a little colder than usual (possibly to be expected) but really quite nice. I then googled @urban.spaceman ‘s phenomenon to find that lots of weirdo’s slash people do it and particularly chefs and also people freeze half bags of open crisps to keep them from going soft. I’m writing this with concussion and a drink in (not on the advisory paperwork) so it all seems a bit weird but yeah, it’s a thing.
  14. The odd loan wouldn't shock me.
  15. Nope, and if we do I very much doubt they'll get a game.
  16. Gwon the Punjab Warriors!
  17. Lots of enthusiastic posts about his body shape but not so much about his actual footballing ability. This worries me on a number of levels.
  18. Cool, one in one out.
  19. Yep and when paired with Ricardo on the other side they used to switch sometimes mid game to give the opposing wingers a bit more to think about as they can play both sides.
  20. Start chuckling.
  21. Can I answer this in September please!
  22. So we paid 20 million and he’s wanted by a Premier League club who have offered 20 million. You’d kinda want to think that we could identify a target buy him and then turn a profit.
  23. I hope Riccy P gets some minutes today.
