Despite any showing of real quality I quite liked the fact that Caranza has a bit of a bastard in him. I think we need that providing he doesn't get carded every game and at some point begins to find the net and not fall over every time he feels a shirt pull.

I'm hoping next game we play JJ and Winks at 6 and 8 and Ramsey comes back in as 10 and we might see a bit of a difference in penetrating the final third as West Brom kept us out of the penalty area extremely proficiently forcing shots and crosses from the wings, nullifying any central goal threat.

It's hard because we don't know the full story. The manager clearly gives our youth players opportunity. After that it may be how they take that opportunity, where he thinks their heads are at at dealing with the pressure and when to give them that opportunity again or to send them out on loan for another stint. Everybody develops differently I guess, both physically and mentally. It may be not a question of footballing ability right now but the ability to trust a youngster to perform under the lights and on the training ground at this level right now in his development.

Hmm, great keeper but being honest would rather stick with Jakub and spend the loan wages in the outfield.

I’m thinking we beat Oxford comfortably but the following two fixtures against Cov and West Brom will represent a truer barometer of where we are as a club in this division and our chances of getting out of it.
