  1. This place is getting too much! I'd be embarrassed if any other clubs fans were looking at this. Far too much ridiculous anger.
  2. I don't usually come on here during a match and I'm certainly glad about that!
  3. Yes we do. Our home form needs to be good this season. Losing to a top 4 team though is not something to get too worked up about.
  4. Yes, try and find a way to beat them like we are doing. Not throw the toys out the pram and talk about sacking the manager when we don't beat a Champions League team!
  5. Whether you feel confident about it or not, the games against teams like Everton, Southampton and Ipswich will define our season.
  6. Lower your expectations everyone! Villa were odds on to win this. What we do this season won't be defined by matches against the top 6. The next month or two against teams around us will be the key.
  7. I don't see anything too wrong in that. We need to pick up points however we can.
  8. Well, you said he's not a backup and to loan him or play him. He's not be loaned, so that would suggest you want him to start matches. As I said, I would have liked to see him on loan. I think too many fans have unrealistically high expectations of him though, based on not a lot. He's only 19 and has plenty of time to develop with us around the first team, now that he's staying here. Any minutes for him this season will be a bonus.
  9. What have you seen to convince you he should be starting in the Premier League? I think a loan would have been ideal for him. We could have then seen what kind of level he is currently at. However, he has stayed, so I'm sure he will get a few minutes when needed and will hopefully develop by training with the first team all season.
  10. They are very light up front. Bought a few too many Championship players for me.
  11. Might as well keep Ward now as we’d be paying most of his wages if he went out on loan. Thomas will be needed in the squad and Iversen would fetch peanuts now anyway. Soumaré is the only one I’m a bit surprised we didn’t shift out. Maybe a Turkish club will take him.
  12. I’m sorry pal, but a club like ours can’t always be winning the league or challenging for the top 4. You are only a bad couple of transfer windows away from being in trouble. We had that, but we recovered and now we can rebuild again. This transfer window is another step in the right direction for me. In 5 years time it might be us in the top half of the table again and clubs like Brighton or Palace fighting relegation. Things can change quickly in football.
  13. I think it’s been another decent window like last summer. A good mix of youth and experience. With factors like FFP, a points deduction hanging over us and being favourites to finish bottom, I think we have strengthened well overall.
  14. That's how transfer windows often work. Players can suddenly become available when their other options run out.
  15. All three of those players strengthen our squad and give us options, while not costing too much. Happy with them all considering we are favourites to finish bottom of the table.
  16. We needed a player like Skipp. Last time our centre mid was weak in the Premier League we got relegated. We also needed another centre back to leave us with four. I think we've had a decent window so far. A striker in tonight would be ideal, but we'll have to see.
  17. Not sure how you know Daka was ahead of him? Unless he gets injured, Vardy will start the majority of league matches I would have thought.
  18. So you think Alves is a better option than Buonanotte and Bilal even though he's never started a match for us? Unfortunately his injury probably cost him the chance of some experience last season in the Championship which would have been a far better option. It's really not the time to be gambling on him now, unless he's showing to be a class above in training. Nelson again is a good prospect, but there are other options in the CB position that are better. Nelson didn't look quite ready to me when he last played for us. A loan could give him some great experience.
  19. Ah sorry, I misread your post.
  20. Would be far better for Nelson to gain his experience on loan in the Championship. Hopefully then we can reap the rewards in the future if he proves to be good enough.
  21. If you're good enough you will get opportunities. You need to earn your spot in the team.
  22. Based on the fact that Nelson has only made 5 appearances for Leicester. Couldn't get a game in the championship either. Hasn't played for England U21s. I'm not saying Nelson can't progress into a better player, but currently I'd rather play Okoli.
  23. On known evidence, such as appearances for Atalanta and Italy U21s, he is. Like when some didn't want us to sign Buonanotte because we had Alves. Buonanotte is far more developed than Alves.
  24. Pretty sure we put some thought into the transfer. He's currently a better player than Nelson too, so gives us more options.
  25. The unwarranted negativity on here just gets worse by the day. The pre-match comments and outcry about the team selection were just ridiculous. As is the mention of Rudkin in every page of this forum! The reality is, we are going to lose and get outplayed a lot more than not this season. Just need to deal with that fact and all that matters is that we pick up just enough points to hopefully stay up. If that means not playing the most attractive football or not picking a kid that hasn’t even started a match for us yet, then so be it!
