  1. You can't wing it in international tournaments anymore. In the Noughties you could turn up to World Cups and stroll past Holland, Canada, Namibia, Bermuda who had dragged their players out of offices and factories. Bowl them out for under 150 and breeze home. Now, the likes of Afghanistan have players who go all around the world playing in franchise competitions and growing their reputations. They should have beaten Australia in the World Cup. Mentality from the ECB is all wrong.
  2. Another tournament failure. Three in a row because the T20 was not great. Hopefully another 30 matches against India to come before the glorified Kwik Cricket returns.
  3. I'm glad people are fed up. I've seen us in League One for one season yet I've also seen us finish in the top half of the Premier League on ten occasions. Spending one year in a division is no reason to accept any old shit even at a higher level. In the last 30 years, we have collected the 13th most points in the top division. We are no fluke or having a decent few years as some fans like to tell us.
  4. Our players would never do that.
  5. Wolves should be punished for being even remotely close to the absolute dross in the bottom three.
  6. "It's not about winning. It is about backing the lads and not moaning" said England supporters' spokesman Griff Vienetta.
  7. They weren't team mates or coaches at the same time, there is no connection.
  8. If you gave us Nuno we would take him like a shot. Cooper's Premier League record is poor and the appointment made little sense. His last few games were truly dire and we were conceding plenty. Both managers have offered very little. Just because we managed a couple of consolation goals and Hermansen kept several scores down doesn't mean we were significantly better.
  9. The most thrilling and unexpected run. Crowd fully behind the team and manager. Brilliant two months.
  10. Wasn't the observation that it was odd that people left early whatever the score was? We were winning or it was an exciting game and fans still got up and left as though we were 3-0 down? I doubt anyone would be having at go at those who went well before the end on Friday.
  11. Brendan v Brendan-Lite
  12. He barely picked O'Brien who Moyes brought straight in. I just cannot see how he fits here with the squad we have got and the players he usually uses. We would probably still have Reid and Ayew in the team.
  13. India are a top side but the whole set up is ridiculous. Means Pakistan can never properly host a tournament again, either.
  14. Palace have been in this league for 12 years and have always managed at least 40 points. Not exciting but they aren't a perennial struggler. Wolves have had a couple of poor half seasons then survived quite comfortably. The main beneficiary in recent years has been Everton.
  15. Get Dychey in and we can catch this mob.
  16. Get on with it. ****ing hell.
  17. Our players would never take to his methods. We need a clearout and attitude change as much as a new manager.
  18. If Young had stayed in his feet, would it have been given in the first place? It was theatrical but his shirt was pulled by two players. Lesser contact has seen penalties stay given after review.
  19. It is where the whole argument about stifling ambition and closed shops falls down. We are miles behind virtually all clubs at this level, not just the elite.
  20. I cannot stand that Allez Allez Allez chant. Thankfully we haven't nicked it.
  21. Who would have thought showing no interest in 50 over cricket at domestic level would mean you aren't very good at it at international level?
  22. Best moment of last night was some, I presume "head steward", desperately trying to organise the minions into shape to prevent any of the 8k fans left in the ground at 87 minutes and 3-0 down from invading the pitch. Took the game more seriously than most of the players, to be fair.
  23. We are in no position to claim other clubs are making the numbers up after our disgraceful effort this year.
  24. Nowhere near majority full. A good 10k plus empty seats by then.
  25. A shame he isn't good enough because his attitude is great and unlike his preening team-mates he tries to get us going with some urgency.
