  1. The three we have had make sense. The other matches up to December aren't that appealing for neutrals, really. Reckon we will be the lowest appearing TV team this season.
  2. The last thing I want to do at football matches is celebrate our great moments and players.
  3. He doesn't belong in this sanitised era- the fans 30 years ago would have been carrying him off the pitch.
  4. Thumped by Arsenal, comfortable loss at Crystal Palace (2-0 or similar) and two home draws.
  5. Collymore was a bit unfortunate. Lost an FA Cup final with Liverpool (Spice Boys era) then left Villa in a year they reached the final to join us who were in the League Cup final but wasn't eligible.
  6. Is there little value in England overseas Test tours (bar the Ashes)? Every year we seem to know late who will show the series.
  7. My feeling also. Ipswich Monday night, Man Utd Sunday 2pm, Chelsea Saturday 12.30pm, Brentford doesn't move.
  8. I didn't mind the song before but the bastardisation of Sloop John B by unoriginal football fans puts it into the list. The fact is, if they hadn't recorded it, we'd never sing that. Sweet Caroline, definitely. Hideous.
  9. Another for Harry Kane! He says Get in the Binland! Lovely words from Matterface.
  10. It''s Sam Matterface.
  11. I noticed the other day that a Lancashire player's highest T20 score was against the Superchargers
  12. Last year will be the better window. Winks is good enough for this level whilst Fatawu and Mavididi look promising. The two interesting signings this year are Buonanotte and El Khannouss but I think Cooper will go safe with Reid and Ayew as we struggle.
  13. Has to be Keith Allen.
  14. Exactly. This will barely touch the sides of a big player's half yearly wage.
  15. So the former Irish international who is manager of England won't sing the national anthem to natural fauxrage from the press. Does this bother people all that much? Never understood the desperation for footballers to sing a sing before a match.
  16. Can imagine the pink ball becomes the default soon.
  17. The sad reality is that the best time for availability, price, kick off times is when you are shit.
  18. The Ever-Obliging Liechtenstein thread on LiechtenTalk is HOT right now
  19. The only relief I will have is seeing meaningful change within the club. Escaping a deserved points deduction on a loophole caused in the main by being relegated is nothing to be pleased about.
  20. I think we have been very fortunate but it is sounding like these leagues expected us to go "Yeah, ok, take what you want" regardless of whether there was room for us to successfully argue. You give any club an opportunity to escape and they will take it.
  21. Definite feeling of scorelines masking matches right now. Can see several narrow defeats where we offer little to follow what has been.
  22. The window smacks more of an uninspiring manager and limited budgets. Still cannot see us staying up.
  23. Didn't we have a package of 3 for £100? Villa get four games and 10k more in the ground.
  24. Which ultimately happened because we were relegated.
  25. Agreed. It is a complicated case as usually teams who break rules benefit (as we have in the past) but our incompetence punished ourselves by being relegated. The Premier League, though, are ridiculous in not making rules watertight and allowing loopholes which football clubs look to exploit endlessly. As seen by the Everton case where they really had no logic to their punishment levels, it seems a rushed attempt to show teeth after the Independent Regulator was threatened. Nobody comes out of it looking good.
