The only relief I will have is seeing meaningful change within the club. Escaping a deserved points deduction on a loophole caused in the main by being relegated is nothing to be pleased about.

I think we have been very fortunate but it is sounding like these leagues expected us to go "Yeah, ok, take what you want" regardless of whether there was room for us to successfully argue. You give any club an opportunity to escape and they will take it.

Agreed. It is a complicated case as usually teams who break rules benefit (as we have in the past) but our incompetence punished ourselves by being relegated. The Premier League, though, are ridiculous in not making rules watertight and allowing loopholes which football clubs look to exploit endlessly. As seen by the Everton case where they really had no logic to their punishment levels, it seems a rushed attempt to show teeth after the Independent Regulator was threatened. Nobody comes out of it looking good.
