  1. He should still sign. We can't have it both ways, though- either the manager isn't significant and anyone can do it or so important that players won't join if he isn't here.
  2. Restored my faith in bald managers after the Holloway debacle.
  3. They did very well to get that coat and glass screen out to Marbella so quickly.
  4. Should be 8 points maximum, I doubt we've done anything severe enough to warrant 15 points.
  5. No way would a provincial club make a Northern Irish manager one of the highest paid managers in the league.
  6. West Ham have a very decent squad and their last two league seasons have been underwhelming. The amount of goals conceded is alarming too. I think, ultimately, we need someone who can organise a defence and employing the manager who presided over the worst outside the bottom three doesn't fit at all.
  7. Is Moyes really going to bring stability? West Ham conceded 74 goals last season and the main reason people didn't want Enzo to stay is because the defence would struggle.
  8. Moyes had a much better squad than we have and defensively West Ham were terrible last season.
  9. Too many on here are living in 2021.
  10. No doubt will be underwhelming. And you can forget any stuff about "building for the future"- let's see how patient this place and the ground is if we have six points after 10 games.
  11. Mourinho vs our supporters would be hilarious entertainment. The West Stand moaners will be throwing their clappers around when Hosay ear cups and shushes them.
  12. Right now we are the least attractive job in the league. All things equal we are a match for most of the "other 14", now have a looming points deduction, uncertainty over the budget, a seemingly narrow approach to philosophy and a thoroughly disliked Director of Football. This is a good club that has restricted itself hugely in many ways. Nobody significant will want it. Well done, board.
  13. The players liked playing for him. Easier to get through it when somebody is already in place. We are either going to have to change our way of thinking or do an incredible selling job to persuade a bigger name to come in.
  14. Rudkin is bigger than any manager. Want a certain philosophy. Points deductions. No idea what we will be able to spend. Good luck to whoever comes in.
  15. Now we will see what the level of damage the mismanagement has caused. The next manager will have points deductions and probably a limited budget to work with. Rudkin will still be comfortably in position. Yeah, you might be pleased Enzo and his style have gone. The fact we NEED £10 million in compensation to help right the shambolic wrongs is much bigger for me.
  16. More that I don't think Southampton are given the credit for their top flight status over the years. Majority of the last 60 years have been in the old Division One then the Premier League.
  17. Including next season, each top flight season since 1977/78 that we have been involved in has included Southampton.
  18. Andy King in the Leeds end?
  19. 420,000 Leeds fans there
  20. The Saints owner looks thrilled.
  21. "A city holds its collective head".
  22. Oh bin these prats off and get Matt Le Tiss and pals on instead.
  23. They can't be arsed anymore. I'm sure a few who believe national service should never have been abolished (whilst never needing to do it) will applaud it because the brats need to show respect or something but most will see it for the pointless exercise it is.
  24. All in for a 1.30am UK time start for USA v Canada next week.
  25. I like how it is said with such confidence given we have no idea who a new manager would be.
