Chelsea missing out on the Champions League could be tough financially. Might need to sell the Pensioners to themselves for £380 million this year.
-
Two biggest financial losses in English football history playing out a value for money thriller here!
-
We received little credit for providing England with Broad, Taylor, Gurney, Wright. We are here to put the best team together for our supporters.
-
Another point about the access and not liking questions- for years we were the biggest story in the region. Trophies, Europe, Vardy etc. Now Notts Forest and Derby will be in a higher division, Lincoln will command a lot of coverage. Even a bit further afield, Aston Villa and Coventry will be in the Premier League. We will drift further in terms of interest (beyond the initial decline, collapse coverage). Media outlets will not be queuing up to get in.
-
The best thing for their brand is for us to be an entertaining, achieving Premier League side which makes the current acceptance of this dire situation even more confusing.
-
The dreadful PA man talking this up as a big game. Technically correct but for all the wrong reasons. Surviving in this division should be viewed as an embarrassing season, not an achievement. Anything below top six should be seen as a failure.
-
Not mathematically because West Brom and Blackburn could still be catchable in theory.
-
You can stop people asking tough questions but you cannot ban the cameras from showing matches or stop the League table from being printed. That is their biggest problem currently.
-
Is it self deprecating? It is a dig at the ownership and where their running has left us.
-
He wants to be front and centre of any success, at whatever level. We reach the League One Play-Off or League Trophy Final and he will be there, milking the ridiculous adulation and complete obliteration of standards.
-
All it has really achieved is preventing us spending even more money on the garbage we have currently got.
-
What was the song in the second half to Rotterdam? Think I made out Crewe at the end.

His inbox must be bursting with emails asking him why he didn't attend.
-
O'Neill and the players would never have stood for it. I do wonder if this might be spoken about more in future with former players.
-
And occasionally, when His Glorious God Almighty Wonderfulness bothers to show up, he gets to sit in the front row!
-
"We have only ever known success" as we sit on the brink of a third relegation in four years is elite level.
-
I wouldn't have so much of an issue with all the credit for the success if they owned the failure or the main components of the success were given proper recognition. I don't hear John Elsom given a heap of credit for the League Cup win in 2000.

Even putting aside the absolute and factually incorrect nonsense about entitlement, I am genuinely amazed people want to really back these players over the supporters. Lying and twisting the history of the club is one thing- endlessly backing these charlatans is another thing entirely.
-
Really uplifting to see how we are responding. To concede 520 and still be well in the game is a great effort.
-
This place has spent three years criticising Ipswich. We love to put down other clubs. Need to take it on the chin.
-
Best to see how the situation develops. Leicester has a large fanbase, it might take a while to lift off and issues around where it plays, the name, the starting point in terms of league level but it could easily grow. AFC Wimbledon get crowds of 8k and took over 20k to Wembley. Any well run, well marketed club related to us could be of real interest to many.
-
Yes, this has the feel of a Bolton-type decline and stagnation. The previous policy of spending big, finding loopholes or accepting fines isn't possible any more. There is so little football or business savvy at the club that it will end up marooned, bitching about unfairness.
-
Play Page, Monga, Silko-Thomas. The experienced players do not want to play any more, get some youngsters in.
-
We are about 15 points above our performance level because James and Fatawu sustained us for a few months. Our current placing of 23rd is totally fair.
-
Should never have been reintroduced.
