  1. I did.....😡😡😡
  2. Now this doesn’t make any sense to me at all. If, god forbid, your eldest son has contracted the infection whilst at school, then surely sending your other child back into the same school daily, after being in the same house as your eldest is exactly the same as just letting your eldest go back to school?
  3. Mods??????
  4. Has anyone sold anything to CEX and posted the stuff off to them instead of taking it in to the store? From what I gather they pay you before they even receive the items, just wondering if anyone has had any issues with them after they’ve received the items?
  5. Toasting the bun on a Rustlers burger and slinging a bit of salad in it improves the experience infinitely I’ve just found out.

Did I just hear correctly on the radio? 10% Deposit mortgage offers have gone down from 768 to just 60 from lenders since they were allowed to trade again??
  12. My drive home was very busy today. Didn’t help getting caught by the quarry train at Bardon, but Soar Valley Way and up to the Pork Pie Roundabout was reminiscent of pre lockdown levels.

    Languages

My wife is from Poland and she has mentioned to me before that the Polish & Czech languages have some similarities. Is that one of the reasons you decided on it? I have tried to learn Polish before, mainly so I can have at least some conversational skills to speak to the in laws. It’s a difficult one though! Especially the reading and writing!! I did find Duolingo a decent free app to start learning though. HodnĂȘ ĆĄtestĂ!!
  19. What about these? https://www.bose.co.uk/en_gb/products/headphones/earbuds/soundsport-free-wireless.html#v=soundsport_free_wireless_black The AirPod pros will work with an android device I think.
  20. In ear or over ear? What’s your budget? There’s a huge selection out there to choose from.
  21. There is a massive difference here though. You grew up in the 80’s/90’s, like I did(we are a similar age according to your bio) Our children live in a completely different society to that which we did. When I was my daughters age I was outside all day long at every opportunity with my friends. Children’s social lives are now predominantly online, whether that’s right or wrong, it’s where we’re at. So suggesting that you just take their shit away from them and shove an encyclopaedia on the desk is quite frankly ridiculous. It’s 2020 mate. For the majority of the lockdown, the kids weren’t allowed to go outside and have a mess about with their friends, they were advised to stay indoors like the rest of us. You’re struggling to understand the impact that this is having/going to have on this generation of children. Throughout their lives so far they’ve been able to socially interact with their peers in school, create bonds, and prepare them for the next stages of their lives, whatever stage that may be. That’s been completely taken away from them, and it doesn’t matter that it’s only 6 months or so of their lives, it’s easy for Adults to comprehend that in their heads, it really isn’t easy for children to do the same. My youngest is due to move up to the high school in a couple of weeks, because of lockdown she has had no induction at the school like she normally would have, she doesn’t know if any of her friends will be in any of her classes. She has struggled with some anxiety issues in the past, and this scenario is definitely playing on her mind more and more. We have tried to reassure her that everything will be ok but it is still affecting her. Yes, you could say I’m being selfish, but I don’t really give a shit, my priority is to make sure my children come first, and that means getting them back into some kind of new normal where they can be kids again. At least in some way anyway. You’ve stated a few times now that don’t respect the guidelines because there’s no consistency etc, then go and see your parents!!! They are guidelines. That’s all.
  22. Yes mate, a 90 second walk from that street.
  23. My girls have been off school since the end of March. Summer holidays started middle of July
  24. One of them lives round the corner from where I used to live up until a couple of months ago. Well until he was put up in one of her majesty’s hotels. Never seen him round there though. Scum
