  1. I'm always told if I don't like our footbll then I prefer long ball, which is wrong. My point was that there are more ways to play football than just possession based like us, and long ball like Dyche. There are in between and, for me, this is what Liverpool play like. As a neutral I prefer watching them to Man City.
  2. Where did I say that? Yet again, post taken out of context. Read it. I said there's many ways to play football, compare Man City to Liverpool, that was my point. I did not say I want us to be Liverpool.
  3. I've come to the conclusion this is the default response you'll end up with. It's what I've had all morning. There are different ways to play football. I think Liverpool show that under Klopp, they play good fast football but are direct with it.
  4. I am enjoying it. I wish people would give their heads a wobble and realise the difference. I go home and away, I enjoy it 90% of the time, sometimes I don’t. Was I enjoying walking out of Hillsborough having conceded? No. Was I enjoying walking out of The Hawthorns having won? Yes. I can be critical and enjoy it. I’ve done that with every manger we’ve ever had while I’ve supported the club.
  5. I am not negative. This is what annoys me. It is okay to be critical sometimes, regardless, but even with my post I was not being critical. I was questioning how OP thinks Enzo is going to be a “top European manager”. But let’s be honest, after relegation, we’d have loved anybody to have us top of the league. But his “I will leave” persona he throws about doesn’t sit well with me, that’s all.
  6. Top European manager is pushing it. What have you seen to suggest that? Lets talk in a couple years after he's actually managed in the Premier League.
  7. These comments are lazy. I don't want to see us "lump it forwards" but we should play with more intensity and quicker football. There are times this season it's been good, but there are times when it's been boring too (we scored quickly yesterday and then Swansea grew into the game before we got a lucky penalty). We're top of the league, and, on top of that have players that are often better than those we come up against. As for all the "we will get what we wish for" regarding Enzo. He's inherited one of the best squad's this division has ever seen, anywhere other than top 3 would be disappointing for us. He isn't working miracles. That's on top of our budget and facilities compared to the rest of the league. We still concede far to many chances but luckily the opposition haven't great quality. Finishing is the difference between this league and the Premier League. Enzo hasn't even managed in the PL yet so he can go through all this "I will leave" ideas about all he likes.

Ipswich and Coventry are far tougher opponents that Swansea. That said, against Ipswich we should have scored 3 before they even equalized. Coventy we never looked like scoring then got reduced to 10 men.

I see this post every week
  10. 25+ was never happening, those numbers are very rare, plus he's never been a prolific goalscorer. I didn't think any of our strikers would even managed 20. Tony got 30 in 20/21 and he was the first player to do it since Murray in 12/13.
  11. Looks like Villa are getting Rogers from Middlesbrough.
  12. Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he has been rubbish for us because I don't believe that. I just always want more from him and I think that's how I'll look back at his time here. Obviously his goals in our FA Cup run and in the Community Shield Final will always stick with me. But now I think it's time we parted ways and he moves on. Even if he was to stay I still think we'll need another striker when we get promoted. I think you're right that the fee hasn't helped him and if it was £10m less then I probably don't post the way I do about him.
  13. Nice one Blackburn.
  14. I love this place. I love that this is my thing. I knew it as soon as I got tagged
  15. Maybe my choice of wording was wrong but it depends on the team and players in the team too, and my point was we had quality then (Tielemens, Maddison). He wasn't come off the bench for a team in a relegation battle all the time, we had two of those seasons as a top 6 team, four as a top ten team, and only one season from those he scored more than 5 goals. It's not great, niether is the 1 goal in 30 he managed in 18/19 and you're not telling me that's because he only played 20 minutes per game. In that season he started 9 games... In 20/21 he started 16 games I think I read.
  16. I was lucky enough to be at the FA Cup final when we won it. As I've said before I'd do that day over and over again.
  17. Waiting to hear from the people that claimed he must be so good because Simeone wanted him. He really wasn't as good as people like to pretend.
  18. I would say there probably is but I'm not one of these people that is obsessed with goals/assists per minute so I'm not going to compare with all PL strikers that have played in the same period. We have generally been a top 6 team during Iheanacho's time here and his career here will always leave me wanting more from him, given the price we paid for him and his reputation upon his arrival.
  19. People think they can handle alcohol when they can't. I don't want alcohol in the stands in this Country like people talk about.
  20. Aside from that Covid season, of quiet football grounds, his best return in the league was no more than 5 goals. I reckon there's a lot of cheaper strikers out there who can get that number.
  21. Date for this round is midweek.
  22. Good side. I don't fancy us at all but it would be interesting to see how we perform if we put out a full strength side.
  23. It's midweek so it probably will reach members.
  24. Maidstone going to Wednesday or Cov. Most probably will be Cov if we’re honest.
