  1. That ship has sailed, then hit a Leeds, Middlesbrough and QPR-shaped iceberg and sunk.
  2. The wheels on the promotion push go wobble, wobble, wobble...
  3. Least Everton are losing. That makes my afternoon marginally better.
  4. Incoming? Read the topic, it's already here.
  5. Question is, will the fans still clap them off or tell the lads what they really think of that performance?
  6. Not been the same since his injury. Was one of the best RBs in the Premier League at one point, now is just plain ordinary in the Championship.
  7. Spurs have equalised, and are now winning. Can't even have that today. Starting to mentally prepare myself for the play-offs after this. We have been awful today against a team we 'should' be winning against.
  8. At least Spurs are losing too. That always makes me feel marginally better.
  9. Now it is game over.
  10. Means nothing when we can't score.
  11. Unpopular opinion: Choudhury should be nowhere near the Starting XI.
  12. Once again its our own chronic wastefulness that threatens to undermine our promotion push, rather than those around us. QPR will park multiple buses in the second half. Brace yourselves for a frustrating 45mins to come.
  13. This aged well. Chair must have heard me typing. FFS.
  14. This topic alone suggests that this is not a game to remember.
  15. Average really, but still too good for Watford and that's enough for me today. 6 wins in the next 15 should be all the Foxes need. Makes me a touch fearful if we play like this in the Premier League. Could well lead to us being spanked every week, and I don't particularly fancy us being a yo-yo club. But let's just enjoy the ride we are on whilst the grass is still green.
  16. Poor Daka has a shocker in front of goal last night. But his overall pressure and build-up play was really good, but definitely overshadowed by his glaring miss in the first half, otherwise I'm sure he would be getting much better marks than this. Joys of being a striker when you're mostly assessed on your goalscoring exploits.
  17. SK1, SK2 and SK3 are just as bad.
  18. Delusions of grandeur among the fanbase. We're top of the league, storming to the title despite a couple of wobbles, and suddenly we are expected to play like Champions-elect every game. Yes, it's sometimes mind-numbingly boring, and turgid football. We sure as heck can't play like that in the Premier League. But it's keeping us top, so fans should be grateful that he has got us to this point, and hopefully will stay if they actually give him some slack. It's not pretty football, and it doesn't have to be in this league.
  19. Cannon for Daka. Fatawu returns to the side. Three more points are right there for the taking. Do the business Maresca.
  20. Who'd have thought being on 69 points from 29 games could be such a downer! Blistering start, followed by a good hour of ghastly misses, tedious passing, and moments of panic, but overall, a comfortable win over a pretty poor Swansea A special mention for the officials, who were pretty dire for both teams, including Leicester's penalty (hooray for no VAR). Much bigger challenges await and we need to be better than we were tonight. 3 points closer to the promised land, and the Maresca Express goes on. Choo choo.
  21. Not particularly Championship level either.
  22. Could be some real painful losses with this lot, but I'd like to think there would be a major upheaval in the summer, IF we get promoted.
  23. Our results lately beg the question as to whether the art of game management is in Enzo's repertoire. This whole passing around the back nonsense and the late substitutions are driving me mad, and it is costing us points against teams in the chasing pack. Southampton will have been watching this, and will sense that we are there for the taking if they push us hard enough. There was a substantial drop in intensity in the second half and the lads looked dead on their feet at 70 minutes against fresh Ipswich players. The subs did finally come on 10 minutes later, but way too late in a game of that magnitude. No, I'm not on the moaners bandwagon, before you all pile in. But at the same time, a worrying trend is developing and Enzo needs to stop it in its tracks.
  24. Set pieces threaten to be our undoing one day. Can be considered a little fortunate not to be taken to a replay. However... Into the 4th round, can we sing the Wembley song yet?
