  1. No you're not. The assumption that we're going to get hammered by the EFL is more emotional than rational. If the PL fails in its appeal re: 2020-23 (which it sounds like they will), then it's possible that the EFL might try to pursue us for that, but it's not clear whether they'll be able to. They can't get us for 2021-24 because we've passed that, as you say. So as things stand they can't go after us for anything, which means the prospect of an immediate points deduction and/or transfer embargo when we get relegated is far less likely than some people seem to believe.
  2. I assume we’re not compelled to keep him in the squad of 25. Unfortunately just leaving him out of the squad probably isn’t an option as can’t afford to get someone else in unless Edouard is off the wage bill.
  3. Presumably the club wants to avoid the bit in bold and believes that selling Cannon will enable us to purchase somebody who might help us achieve that. I can understand why you might be sceptical about our chances of actually achieving this, but I assume that's the thinking.
  4. I remember. I also remember that we weren’t receiving any decent bids for him. It’s difficult to sell a player if nobody wants to make a serious offer for him.
  5. For that howler I deserve both a slap and a smack
  6. I've watched the clip several times and I don't think he meant it as a Nazi salute at all. It looked like an awkward gesture not untypical of somebody with autism, which Musk has. I'm not remotely a fan of Musk and I share people's despair at the prospect of a second Trump term, but I think the reaction to what was an awkward hand gesture from somebody with a social communication disorder has gotten a bit out of hand.
  7. Indeed. Then replace the Post Horn Gallop with Slap My Bitch Up by The Prodigy. It'll shit the opposition right up.
  8. There is not a cat in hell's chance of Top choosing Sean Dyche as our next manager.
  9. No they won't. They can't just impose an embargo because they want to shaft us. Even the EFL has to operate within the rules. It's understandable that people think the EFL will want to hit us hard when we go down, but there are some wild claims flying about have little basis in reality. I'm not even convinced they'll be able to impose a points deduction, let alone a transfer embargo.
  10. On what grounds are the EFL going to impose a transfer embargo on us?
  11. Exactly. Now for the love of God will people PLEASE stop worrying about going down? The club has clearly got it sorted....
  12. During a game while playing for Ghana.
  13. If it was clickbait by Sky there would have to be an article or tweet to click on, but I can’t find anything. All we know is that the FosseHub twitter account claims that Sky has reported this. Maybe somebody said it on the Sky Sports TV channel, but there isn’t a story online as far as I can tell…
  14. KDH starts for Chelsea….
  15. What makes you think we'll get a transfer ban when we're relegated?
  16. A transfer ban is unlikely. I'm not sure why it keeps being mentioned as it's highly unlikely the EFL would be able to impose one on us unless it thought we were going to fail PSR for 2025/26, and even then it would only be imposed during the winter transfer window. A points deduction is possible, but I'm not even sure how likely this is. I'm sure we'd explain every legal option possible to challenge it. It wouldn't surprise me if we started next season with effectively a clean slate and all the other clubs complaining bitterly that we've got away with it again...
  17. It's such a weird feeling at the moment. In any other season we'd be looking at our current position and thinking that if we sack the manager and get somebody decent in, survival would be very possible. We'd all be focused on if/when the club was going to pull the trigger and speculating on who might come in. And when the manager was sacked, we'd all be buzzing about the prospect of at least having a proper go at staying up. I don't feel any of that this time. The club has already played its 'sack the manager' card and I just don't think they'll do it again. And even if they did, I don't think it would do any good. It just feels like the rot has set so deep within the squad that no manager could do anything with it. There's nothing to do but endure the rest of the season as we go down without a fight and mentally prepare ourselves for the Championship. It's strange to feel so completely resigned to our fate when survival would usually seem very possible from our current position.
  18. They’re a bit of an outlier - none of the other bookies are as short as that. You can still get 3/1 with several others.
  19. Which is precisely the point at which they’ll unexpectedly pull something out of the bag to reignite a flicker of hope and prolong the whole sorry experience….🙄
  20. On the WYS podcast they reckoned that the 'paperwork' mentioned was player insurance (hence why he couldn't train). Supposedly Rudkin lost his log-in details to confused.com and it took a few days to sort out.
  21. Yep. Cannon is a decent Championship striker but not a PL striker. If his sale can facilitate the purchase of a player than can improve the first eleven now, then that's what we should do.
  22. It may well be, but I'm not sure that a lack of baseless rumours flying around is much of a barometer of that.
  23. Isn't Haaland's new contract basically 115 months? They're taking the piss, aren't they? Grudging respect for that
  24. This is fully what I expect to happen. Anybody hoping for the torment to end any time soon is going to be disappointed.
