  1. Quite clickbaity headline haha. Colchester reduce pitch size to size that meets the league requirements.
  2. Fair one mate I do find Wilf going on international duty weird - he's just back from a long lay off and the last thing we need is him travelling around Africa playing 2 games in 4 days.
  3. Plus side is that Alves and Braybrooke would get a chance to establish themselves as starters in a championship team. Down side is that I'd have to read people making our Kasey McAteer is some world beater when he scores a tap in after putting in a seies of 5/10 performances.
  4. I'm sure they know exactly how to play by now, can't imagine Enzo ripping up the tactics book at this point
  5. I just don't really see how having no flexibility is seen as a positive to be honest. Adapting to take advantage of the opposition's weaknesses and negate their strengths seems like a positive to me. Being able to adapt tactics to suit your squad seems like a positive. I can understand someone having a general philosophy they want to stick to, be it trying to outscore the opposition, or keep games tight. But being wed to one tactical set up just seems like a recipe for failure, it gives any manager worth their salt the very best opportunity to set up their team to beat the system as they know exactly what they're up against. If he's come out of that game happy with us having 1 shot on target while conceding an xG of over 4 then I'm genuinely perplexed at what his expectations are when playing his system.
  6. This should be the main focal point of all discussion in the media, yet everyone just seems to accept that very average players who might play 10-15 times a season can sit there and earn millions of pounds a year. Salaries just need to drop by 25-30% and all of a sudden there are no issues and the footballers still take home more money than they could ever deserve. Unfortunately too many people make good money from it, so it'll never be seen as the issue.
  7. If we don't go up I do hope Enzo sticks around. Given that he's been such a genius getting this rag tag bunch of non league players supplemented with around 40 million pounds worth of signings, to the top of the league. Next season when we have no money and have to sell our best assets to cut down on expenditure and also pay back Macqarie, there's no better manager to have us back challenging for a league title
  8. 3 months till we can part ways. If Sunday doesn't convince the club that offering him a contract is beyond dumb, then nothing will.
  9. Sunderland was well exciting!
  10. Vesty and Coady's duel/aerial stats are fairly poor for centre backs, especially Coady. May as well be pinging balls up to a scarecrow.
  11. Yep pretty much Probably why the pundits said it wasn't over at half time as Chelsea seem unable to perform for 90 minutes.
  12. I can't say I noticed an uptick in effort. Chelsea just started sitting in after Diassi decided to turn into a Frank Sinclair tribute act. They let us have the ball and retreated to the edge of their box for 10 minutes. It was so odd.
  13. I'd imagine he's playing to Enzo's instructions. It's not like we're short of options at CB, so if he wasn't doing what Enzo wanted he'd be quickly replaced.
  14. He deserves a 10 match ban for that reaction alone Pathetic attempt at trying to cheat. The guy doesn't even touch his face and he's rolling round - which doesn't happen if you're caught in the head. Players that actually get hit in the head, are usually pretty damn still. You've had a mare on this one haha.
  15. Thats literally his point
  16. I thought I was going mad, but I checked the stats and we were as roundly beaten as I thought we had been. I feel like I was watching a different game to every one else Chelsea imploded for about 15 minutes in the 2nd half and started treating us like Man City. They lobbed one into their own net for us and the Mavididi has scored out of nowhere. Other than that, we've had 5 shots to their 24 and been torn to shreds. Could easily have been 6 or 7 if they could finish.
  17. Thought it was the same in the game v Bournemouth as well. They seem to have a tenuous grasp on football in general, never mind any sort of knowledge of teams they're commentating on.
  18. There is nothing in the rules that states a foul has to be done on purpose. Imagine a ref having to decide if a player has intentionally decided to foul an opponent
  19. Given current form it's hard to see us finishing top 2. There's no doubt that the ability is there to go on a winning run. If we don't have the mental fortitude to see this through I'd be very surprised if we didn't collapse in the play offs.
  20. Ahh he did, there's a few angles where you see clear contact which contributes to him kicking himself in the back of the leg I think. Similar to the pen to be fair. How inconsistent Jackson is there's every chance he'd have missed the 1 on 1 anyway.
  21. I'm not watching to be fair so I'll take your word for it
  22. To be fair, I'd take that over the championing of cheating that you get from half the sky sports commentators. Alan Smith and Gary Neville are awful for it.
  23. Felt more like Chelsea letting us back into the game rather than us forcing it. They are so mentally weak, it's a testament to how weak we are that we came from from 2-0 down and then managed to hand them the initiative back. That's some world class levels of bottling to be fair.
  24. Vesty and Sterling equally impressive for the opposition
