  1. I need to see video footage of it happening because until I do, I feel like they've just opened him up with a scalpel
  2. Came in to make a joke about it being great so see Kevin Lisbie still banging in the goals and it's been ruined.
  3. I thought Mavididi was wasteful, Summerville is another level
  4. Hopefully the undercard goes ahead still two world title fights on that card.
  5. Terrifying that this summer is the closest we'll be to a blank canvas and we've got Rudkin at the wheel again.
  6. Doesn't matter whether it's political or football, if you're staunchly on one side and think you're right. Wild exaggerations are made about other people's opinions if they happen to differ in any way. It's starting to get like twitter, massive echo chamber of people patting themselves on the back for sharing an opinion whilst shouting down at those that disagree. Gawd bless Strider and a few others who manage to favour one side of the idea and argue their side well, without having to talk down to people and put words in their mouths becuase they happen to see things differently. [sarcasm] Also. If you love this boring terrible style of football your a hipster nerd that hates seeing teams try to score [/sarcasm]
  7. McAteer is about old enough to Fatawus dad as well to be fair
  8. Let's get him on 200k a week and see if he fancies resigning then.
  9. I'm convinced he means that if the club aren't buying into his methods, rather than the fan base. Whoever reported that has done him dirty to be honest.
  10. With this in mind, I can't believe the club aren't doing everything they can to get Kermogent in on a short term deal.
  11. I'd be shocked if there's not a massive turnover. Plenty out of contract that we need off the books so we can sign players without taking our wage-turnover ratio into the stratosphere.
  12. Superb response, I appreciate you humouring me. I suppose another issue next season is that we likely see a mass change of the playing squad and all of a sudden we now have 10+ players that now need to get up to speed. I fundamentally agree with the approach. I think it's the execution and the seemingly rigid belief that there are no alternatives that I have issue with. One of my main issues is that I still think there has to be a better way than passing out from your goal kicks if the other team are going man for man. I'd like to see the players have 2 or 3 options from goal kicks and based on how the opposition sets up, they choose the best option there. We've got a keeper that can clip a ball 70 yards with fairly decent accuracy. If the opposition are going man for man and the CBs are on the half way line. You clip one in behind for Fatawu/Daka/Mavididi to chase, all of a sudden you've got them running back to goal and panicking. If they're sitting off, then knock out out to a CB and build from there. The other soft skills that you've explained are why I quite like Enzo and hope he does well for us. He's said a few things that have confused me, like the statement about throwing it all in if people aren't on board... however I do a lot of things with a pinch of salt, especially with him not being a native speaker. I'm glad I'm finding this season boring because I'd be genuinely worried about us becoming the next Stoke if I had any doubts about us going back up this season. I'm intrigued to see where next year takes us. I'm kind of already expecting to take a few beatings next season, so for me it's all about. Are we looking competitive and are we moving forwards as a club. It's really the one thing I want from any manager. That progress is why I could stomach Puel's awful football - you could see that long term he was benefiting the club, even if in the short term it was awful to watch at times.
  13. I'm sure it's not what he meant, he must mean his bosess and his staff/team. There's no way he's that weak willed that he'd walk away from a club because a section of support don't enjoy the football. If he is then he shouldn't be in the job.
  14. I'm already jotting down names (not literally) of the "you don't get it" posse that I'm sure will flip when results are going against us I know you won't fell into that camp but there's plenty that just like to be part of the popular cool looking group and I'm here for it. It'll be interesting to hear thoughts from yourself and others next season to be fair when we're playing teams that are equal or better than us every week. In advance, would you be looking at making changes to the way we set up/play right now. Or do you have full belief that this system can beat superior better teams consistently?
  15. I'm not even talking about aggressive tackles though. Just players challenging each other, it's all keeping shape and blocking off passing lanes. There are just generally very few 50 50 duels or loose balls that players are battling for. Risk averse passing, waiting for the other team to make a mistake. If you do lose the ball, then it's 11 men behind the ball quickly then we get to watch the other team pass the ball for a minute or two waiting for a player to lose their man. Even then, a lot of the time, the receiving player has nowhere to go and then just recycles the ball back to the defence.
  16. This post is hilarious haha. You've just said the same as other people are saying whilst trying to simultaneously belittle that same opinion. Weird
  17. I think the most boring aspects of just how a lot of teams are playing now is that there are so few physical battles on the pitch. 1 team has possession, the other team watches them pass the ball. Then the other team has the ball and the opposition watch them pass it around. Wolves v West Brom has 7 tackles in the first half. In what is supposed to be a ferocious derby, The competitiveness of the game is being sucked out, tactics are getting more and more risk averse to the point where games are more and more becoming about who makes the fewest mistakes.
  18. It's just a matter of expectation and jeopardy isn't it. If you're playing a team of similar/better quality then you're buzzing to get a result against them. Then unless there's some kind of jeopardy on the result, beating a team you should be beating, especially in the fashion we do. Isn't going to get you excited unless you're forcing it or just feel unnecessarily nervous about things you shouldn't. I guess there's the odd weird person that gets a kick out of punching down as well, but i'd imagine that's a very tiny number of people.
  19. I guess when you're playing as a striker in a team that routinely scores 3-6 goals then youre probably gonna bag a fair few
  20. When you see how good Cannon is at actually shooting, Daka is miles off that. I think we will have more chance of Cannon's movement improving than Daka being consistently good in front of goal.
  21. Also was it my tv or has Dennis Praet entered an emo phase?
  22. How was it? Missed the first 20 mins, watched till half time and couldn't sit through any more so stuck Scunthorpe v Tamworth on Good to get back to winning ways in the league and really shows why there's no need for panic. We're too good for most opposition at this level and it feels like a lot are beaten mentally before they step onto the pitch.
  23. That's a fair point, ideally you have a middle ground. As long as they're good and not some mad criminal then anyone should be fine to teach, it's good for kids to be exposed to different types of people as well. Unless it's sex education then the teachers really don't need to be doing anything other than teaching kids and encouraging them to be inquisitive and find out what they are passionate about. Thinking now though, the law could have been made general "don't talk to children about your personal relationships".
  24. That seems a stretch, I genuinely never remember my teachers coming into school and talking to me about their relationships or sex lives. Usually it was just maths or English or something.
  25. Rudkin playing page boy is infinitely more important
