I think this is it, a lot of people have talked about Bilal 'downing tools', if that's the case, and we hold the power, we could loan him out. But clearly it's a club issue more than a player one.

What pisses me off most about the BEK and potential Fatawu sales, maybe even Mads too, is that you only have to look at what Fulham used to do when they Yo-Yo'd, and what Leeds did last two seasons to see an alternative. You loan out the players who feel they're too good to play in the Championship, get their wages covered and a loan fee that covers their book value for the year, then they either return and reintegrate or you sell them for a big profit after a good season out on loan. Why has every sale been clean cut, no return, absolutely final? We've not even attempted to be creative.

The last Macquarie loan was secured against parachute payment and potential 26/27 and 27/28 prem tv money payments. So it must have been sizeable. The one before that was secured against last seasons TV money. We have spent neither of those sums on incoming players. We've also raised around £70m in player sales so far this summer. Wake. I have some possibly unpopular opinions on the Isak situation. After his statement. The point on broken promises doesn’t surprise me at all. Eddie Howe seems a nightmare to work with, he’s got through 3 highly rated directors of football in 2 years, fallen out with them openly, basically got them sacked and didn’t even attempt to work with them. In that time they’ve barely signed anyone and not built a squad at all. You only have to look at the players bought in to know it’s all been him. Newcastle have also gone downhill massively since Amanda and Merdad left, seems like a total lack of off field leadership. Wouldn’t surprise me if they’d made a promise that he could go if he helped them win a trophy/get champions league and now they’ve gone against that.
