Efl cup round 2 draw - weds 14 aug - 10pm
Cropwellfox replied to grobyfox1990's topic in Leicester City Forum
Bound to be an away draw at a lower league club and we’ll get our arses handed to us. Yay. Would say it’ll be another sign we need to strengthen the squad but will make **** all difference. -
Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)

True, but worse now. At least in that summer we strengthened the squad and whilst it wasn’t great we were competitive at times, with a couple of brilliant night (Leeds at home for example) - so far this summer we are significantly weaker than what we came up with. We barely have 20 senior outfield professionals. Squad depth horrific. -
Agree and you just know a total in the hundreds of thousands of page refreshes across everyone on the forum today will result in the square root of **** all happening.

Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread

That’s ok, we’ve got real depth and quality on the bench….. oh. Erm. Can we get it postponed maybe? -

Cooper clearly doesn’t want Cannon anywhere near his team so if it’s a case of bringing Ayew in and Cannon out on loan then I could see a little bit of sense in this. BUT only alongside 3 or 4 other more dynamic, exciting additions to the squad. If this is a flagship signing yeh we might as well just chuck in the towel and play Amani Richards to give the lad some senior football. -

**** sake from Hlozek to Ayew. Nearly as tragic a downgrade as Schmeichel to Ward -
Nope. Vanished off the face of the earth this last 2 weeks. Loan to somebody like Watford incoming perhaps
-
Must be bollocks, with a fairly minor injury list we couldn’t fill the bench with senior pros yesterday..
-
Yep can see that happening. Earlier in the summer Ipswich put in a bid, told it had to be at at least €30m to enter a conversation, thrift merchant Rudders goes in with €27m, not accepted, then other teams pile in, player’s head turned by better option, ends up moving for about €28m. Rudkin and Top left scratching heads like Laurel and Hardy. One year deal done for free agent striker who was released by some Belgian club or other end of August. Genius 👊

Hope they’ve got an alternative lined up for when Bournemouth come in and blow us out the water for him 😬🤦♂️

Concerns about the direction of the club
Cropwellfox replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
Even in Coopers interview today, ‘he’s one the club identified’ on the Brighton lad. Cooper either distancing himself which is shocking or pointing out he doesn’t really know who’s coming in which is potentially even worse. Absolute shower of shit -
That was brutal on Cannon today. Why even bother putting him on the bench. Was genuinely optimistic about Cooper but jeez that’s been proven wildly wrong

It’s a disgrace. The board being accountable to themselves means that there’s no way to challenge this bullshit either. Meanwhile 80% of the fan base applauding along, nothing to see here. We’ve had a real opportunity to shift the level of the club. Vichai was well on course, what’s happened since is an abomination. -
Think the Turdkin out chants will start before Cooper out. Likely during the 2nd half v Spurs

Agree, the Rudkin out chants were starting to gather pace while Enzo was still here. A shite week with no decent arrivals and a shite first half v spurs and I’d like to hope the chants come back with steroids. -

Would appear the team manager appears to have no clue what the director of football is up to, which is absolutely unforgivable. Need to be 100% aligned. The mismanagement of the club is contributing to the demise of every aspect of LCFC. Sooner they are all gone the better. Incompetent and inept. -
We’ve defended ok, but we’ve had to as the attempts to play out of defence have been utterly horrendous throughout, winks and hamza statuesque and nobody else ahead of them has the slightest clue what to do. Inept.
-
Indeed - He’s got Ricardo, Mavididi, McAteer and even Alves stuck on the bench who would be better goal threats than having both Ndidi and Choudhury playing.
-
Wouldn’t mind a hammering today to try and shock Cooper out of this nonsensical set-up.
-
You’d think the new lad would play instead Hamza if we’d had enough about us to get it done quicker this week, but even then, Daka starting as CF is dreadful and the attacking depth on the bench is woeful.
-
He could have put McAteer in as a 10 / AM today instead of Choudhury. Awful midfield, guarantee there’ll be multiple posts on the match thread of Ndidi and Choudhury running into each others way and Daka utterly adrift and not in the slightest involved in the game.
-
Might get a shot on target by mid September
-
It’s utterly bizarre from him. What on earth can he be thinking. Absolutely not what I was expecting Cooper’s team selections to be like at all and really disappointing for sure
-
0-1 again incoming. State of that XI the week before the season starts - no goals in this set up at all
-
Agreed, but this lad already has c.40 PL appearances and is a full international. This season is about getting 17th by all means necessary, Alves will have opportunities regardless but we need players who can hit the ground running this one should be.
