Leicester vs Birmingham - FA Cup - Match Thread

HMS Can’t be arsed about to pull out of the dock -
Could be intentionally leaked from our end so fan base not up in arms when KDH doesn’t go anywhere but nobody else comes in either. still don’t get why we couldn’t get a loan in to replace Casadei though
-
KDH replacement 😬😬😬
-
The scenes if it’s actually all a Rudkin-inspired ruse to ensure Antwerp stick some cash on the table for Praet quickly 🤣
-
Think this is spot on. Gutting
-
Piss poor management of the incomings, contract lengths and wages of the 6 months either side of the FA cup win still looming large over us then, shocking timing as there’s very little chance of them doing anything useful between now and the end of the window if he is off. O’Hare, Sensi and a loan player from Brighton might offset things, see if we can get Hackney from Boro, but this is a real potential season derailer. Makes ndidis injury so much more of an issue as well.
-
Rob Tanner reported it.
-
The points per game difference with and without Ndidi is huge. After last two games it’s probably below 2 now when he’s not playing and seem to remember something like 2.60 when he does play. Can’t be back quick enough
-
Yeh things may have changed over the last week otherwise you’d think we’ve have asked for termination before he was cup tied
-
Mutual termination is interesting language. Hopefully means we’ve got other plans for him. Anyone know if both sides need to agree to a termination of a season long loan?

Especially now we’ve seen we can play well with JJ on the right and Faes playing the left hand role -

Might nudge the powers that be that a left sided player still quite important to get in -
Explanation on players value on books v helpful - basically shows that unless we can get fees which all but net out for those on decent length contracts we’ll need to sell academy products or try and get some money for those towards end of contracts, neither very likely. With 4 loans already through the door that means no more than 1 loan signing at all likely this month. Wilfs injury (crazy PPG when he starts) prob means we’d sacrifice another left hand side defender for midfield cover, especially if Thomas comes back. Strange but feels like a bit of a downer even though so much positivity so far this season.
-
Stolarcyk Albrighton Coady Nelson Doyle Choudhury Yunus Casadei McAteer / Maswanhise Cannon Marçal Subs to include 2 or 3 more from the academy.
-
Don’t disagree. Especially as it looked like McAtee was close to signing back in late August. If you assume cannon would have signed too they appear to have been ready to get an extra number 8 in on loan at least
-
Bit odd as Enzo knew in the press conf that Iversen was leaving but still apparently said he couldn’t bring anyone in at the moment
-
In training pics today… bench tomorrow possibly ?
-
Got Casesei, Yunus and also Riccy P could slot into an 8 with Hamza inverting. He’ll be a huge miss but I’d say if one of Winks KDH and Ndidi were out for a spell you’d take Ndidi missing game time over the others
-
Rotate the shit out of this one. Get out with no injuries and that’ll do. stolarcyk, Albrighton, Coady, Nelson, Doyle, Choudhury, Yunus, Casadei, Marçal, Cannon, McAteer (if fit)
-
Give Yunus and casadei 45. If they aren’t dominating we’ve options to bring KDH on and also bring Choudhury onto the inverted RB with Riccy P stepping into the other 8 role.
-
If it’s not gone great first half can’t imagine KDH won’t be out for the second 45
-
Bench would look better with kasey and vards fit. Hopefully both back next week
-
Would much rather have Diangana than any of our wingers
-
The way we’ve played most of the last couple of months, it’s a no from me. We seem to have changed the first action of our wingers most of the time to turn backwards, you see it even happening regularly from corners now. Think teams have worked out we have one dimension only and we are becoming pretty predictable to play against. I’d say now Martin has bedded in, Southampton are playing a more progressive possession style which I think over the course of 46 games will be more effective than ours. Leeds have some special players up front so will always score plenty and Ipswich don’t seem to be running out of steam really. It’s a horrible season to have a one dimensional set-up. Worked largely for Burnley last season as the division was pretty shite.
-
Iheanacho well off it, Riccy P not got his passing range, wingers largely anonymous especially McAteer, they beat our first press pretty easily and we are much slower at the back, spent 10 mins taking risk after risk and we look like we’ve never practiced a corner… … 0-0 not too bad 🤣
