Mavididi and Fatawu look hugely off it as well. Giving the ball away, falling over.
-
Our defence is an absolute shit show. So easy for us to be run through midfield as well. Just horrible - nowhere near a playoff side even on this showing
-
Brizzle the better side easily so far
-
Brunt, Stolarczyk and Booth too I’d think. Given the issues with moving players on for fees above their book value I could see 3 or 4 first choice players this season out on loan next.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

This all day. The legal challenge with the PR spin and posturing that we are somehow defending the rights of any club with ambition is a dangerous and frankly bizarre sideshow to draw attention away from the fact that those in charge deliberately moved away from the model Vichai worked with, pissed tens and tens of millions up the wall and have pretty much destroyed the legacy created. Fail to go up and things will be worse than we can imagine - the pressure this will be creating for the players will absolutely not help us over the next month. Shame on Top, shame on Rudkin, shame on Whelan. You should trust those who are custodians of our club to do the right things, they’ve monumentally failed us. -

I think when the accounts are published and the scale of the ineptitude is laid bare the anger will build very very quickly against Top, Rudkin, Whelan and co. They’ve brought down everything that Vichai built up. -
He’s shown zero capability in sorting out our horrendous wage bill over the past 12 months and nothing suggests he’ll do anything useful this summer either. Whilst we have very big problems already now, if we don’t go up we are just at the start of them, given who is on our books and contract lengths there’s no way we will be within the permitted loss level next year either, players on fat contracts won’t want to leave and so we’ll have an unbalanced squad, operating in various special measures and going further and further backwards. Basket case waiting to happen.
-
wonder how close this will be to our starting line up next season given how many players we are likely to need to sell, how far we will need to cut to avoid failing the threshold next season and seeing those we can’t get decent fees for loaned out to take wages off the balance sheet… Stolarczyk, Choudhury, Nelson, Brunt, Justin, Braybrooke, McAteer, Booth, Mavididi, Alves, Cannon

Coming out swinging punches is brave to say the least. Between the EPL and EFL we could end up getting absolutely hung out to dry, you’d hope this will galvanise the support in a seige mentality but unfortunately can see things getting even more toxic if we slip into 3rd over Easter -
Problem is we can’t sell the players we’ve got on stupid contracts without incurring even more losses on their value on the books. See Soumaré, Souttar, Daka, Kristiensen as examples. No club is going to come and offer us above market value for any of our players. This isn’t solvable in one transfer window, we are absolutely done for the next 3 years.
-
This whole mess comes down to the absolutely rediculous wages and contracts that the Board, executed through Rudkin have tied the club into over the past 3/4 years. Utterly disgraceful management and there’s no easy way out of it. If we don’t go up this season there’s probably 2 or 3 years to come where there’s not a chance we will meet the allowable losses due to player contracts and the drop in revenue combined with the loans we are paying interest on. Could easily be Reading on steroids within 2 years and Rudkin seemingly continues to be completely untouchable. Maybe a bit hyperbolic but I’m convinced these next 9 games determine the next 10 years for the club
-
Leeds gave them a really good game, we look like we are miles and miles off them, could easily be 4-0 down. Anyone who isn’t worried now about the rest of this season should be.
-
Fatawu just looks like a competition winner today - Albrighton second half in please as Yunus will have to come on for Wilf
-
We’ve got a lot of players out of form - Fatawu, daka, Doyle, mavididi included. Doesn’t bode well for next few weeks if that continues
-
KDH absolutely levels above the rest of them. Auditioning for a move in the summer
-
Just don’t understand why Maresca persists with Daka, so many big chances missed these last few weeks. Any other of our strikers bury that
-
They’ve got someone about as useful as Massimo Taibi in goal and you just know he’ll keep a clean sheet
-
This could well end up horrific. Just no injuries please
-
Just too easy, Vestergaard and Choudhury nowhere near the level we will need if we do limp over the line
-
We were as high as 28/1 only three weeks ago in this market! £150 on that would have been quite some softener !

Things keep on the current trajectory we will be in for the mother of all resets for next season, and us supporters will need to completely reset their expectations in line. May actually bring some of the joy back into following the club as even this season has felt pretty meh quite often even given how well we’ve gone. A squad of mainly home grown young players with a some experienced championship players who aren’t the money grabbing overpaid arsehole types. Win some lose some and watch on as more and more teams succumb to the PSR shitshow before the big 6 eventually break away into a Saudi sponsored league. Problem ahead of all that is the culture and leadership of the club who don’t seem able to run a tab at a bar let alone an organisation turning over nearly £100m even without the big TV money. -
Almost guarantee Philogene and/or Carvalho bag today so we probably need 3!

Got to give Leeds and Ipswich so much respect for what they are doing, grinding out wins when it matters most by either overturning losing positions or dominating teams. Leeds in particular barely conceding goals at all now. Just can’t see where either will suffer a loss of form whilst we’ve been pretty patchy for 2 months now. Playoffs as big a lottery as ever, could easily be drawn against a team with 20+ points less but in better form. Yuk. For the neutrals this years championship must be one of the best ever

Makes pissing millions up the wall last January on players who barely made any useful contribution at all look all the more inept by the board and whoever was advising them. The complacent ‘it’ll be fine’ culture will be what’s in the end responsible for us potentially worse off than we were in the depths of the Holloway fiasco, because if we don’t go up this year there’ll be deduction upon deduction given the wages, contract lengths and morons still running the show.
