No, it wasn't. You're quite rightly mistaken. I went on record, several times, as saying I quite enjoyed and understood what and why we were doing it under Enzo, in the Championship. I won't deny there wasn't ever any criticism, because there was, where due and I did feel it needed changing and/or adapting when we hit our flat spell, but on a whole it was fine by me. (And it wasn't just because we were winning, because I didn't enjoy it under Rodgers, at all. If that makes me entitled then so be it - It was justified in the end)

When did they introduce a bonus system for playing well? I assume the points get totted up and added to totals at the end of season? Gee, I hope we scrape enough 'Playing well points' together.

I'll never forget those getting in my face and squaring up to me during our last relegation season. Others got spat on.

Atleast that team was a likeable bunch. Full of personalities, a written off, hard working group who you always felt gave 100%. You always felt we were in a game. Even *that* Man Utd game, even at 3-1 down I remember think "we're still in this". Yeah we came back to draw against Brighton after going 2-0 down the other week but last night I knew from the first kick of the second half we were going to lose, when we inventively went 1-0 down it was all but confirmed and time to go.

Seemed like the whole stadium holding them up in the 90’s at Filbert Street. Bearing mind no social media back then would have in my mind been harder to organise.

Yep, I mean that’s what I hoped pending our last relegation. We’ve had a real unlikable bunch here and I was seeing the positives in relegation that meant they’d be gone. Saw it as an opportunity to strip things back, players were out of contract, players were obviously plotting and engineering moves throughout the relegation season. We’ve still been left with quite a few though, unfortunately the one that’s aren’t that good though, I mean the ones that were deemed as good were no use to us because they never put a shift in during their last 12 to 24 months but the point remains. This time there has to be a root and branch attitude to every single aspect of the club. I’m not sure on who’s out of contract and who’s not but hopefully this happens naturally as contracts expire, it’s the only chance we have of shifting them. Do I think it’ll happen? Do I have confidence? Not a chance as it stands. We all know how we love to extend a contract for surplus players.
