  1. We're this far engrained into this way of playing that's what you do. (Not us per se, football period.) Common sense out the window, it's not how it's done anymore. Some fans, Managers, Media, the football fraternity would rather you make a mistake like that and 'die trying' than resort to a nasty hoofed long ball.
  2. IF, we, the fans, are finally going to be nasty bastards towards players (Personally I don't think we have it in us, but the reaction to Ward surprised me) then once again it shows another failure towards the powers that be at the club, the fans shouldn't be in a position where we've finally had enough, ultimately lost our shit with them, it feels like it's the fans pushing these players out, a witch hunt if you will, these players should have been moved on by the powers that be a long time ago! I make this point with the players mental wellbeing in mind as much as us the fans.
  3. Come on then, seriously, whatever happened to the most simplistic, basic tactic, "If in doubt, kick it out"? Just get rid! ****ing kick it out. Clear it. Launch it. Boot it. ****ing hoof it...yeah, what's wrong with it in the right situations? People say "yeah but it's a 50/50"....and? I'd rather lose it on the half way line than on our own 18 yard box and out of shape. Nah, not my team.
  4. but didn't we play well against liverpool and man city!

  6. How dare you question the philosophy of modern football!
  7. Yeah but apart from that.... Point being - We rarely try it. But it's just easy to dismiss it.
  8. Whats it matter what they do when we can do anything for ourselves? Or does it just make people feel better ruing other teams 'luck'.
  9. ****ing clear it. Boot it. ****ing hoof it. Nah. Not my team.
  10. "We never get any luck with opposition injuries"
  11. But were they? I made this point the other week but no-one really answered, when he started what did he actually do? He was arguably more of a threat off the bench and furthermore to that when we started to start him we had nothing off the bench and the manager got slagged off for then starting him so he couldn't do right for doing wrong. Apart from that, I agree with the other points you make.
  12. Sick of managers 'proving points' here. We do need a rebuild and strengthening but they know what's available, they know how our club operates - and if they don't that's on the manager showing they've not done due diligence before accepting the job. Work with what you've got, get the best out of what you've got, to best of your ability. If you're not willing to do that don't take the job in the first place, or leave.
  13. Thing is whilst i'll agree with Rodgers, Enzo, Cooper and now RVN that we need a rebuild and strengthening i'm sick it being used to 'prove a point'. Work with what you've got, get the best out of what you've got, do your ****ing job to the best of your ability. Don't want to do that? Don't take the ****ing job - or leave. We do need a rebuild and strengthening but don't self harm to a detriment.
  14. Hammering: Incoming.
  15. It’s fun to poke fun at Scottish football but I’m coming to learn this, by far prefer and enjoy the lower leagues in England to all the “talent and skill” on show in the “best league in the world”, give me two committed teams any day.
  16. 60% possession, 1 SOT.
  17. True, I did think after posting, that'd mean some atmosphere and effort by fans which our fanbase simply ain't got.
  18. Oh, I have, I'm not even doing it in support or favour of him, he needed to go, i've gone on record as saying I was very nonplussed with appointment, his time in charge, sacking and that opinion remains while we're still ran the way we are, nothing will change, however, I will point out the contradictions and hypocrisies. Answer me a question, rightly or wrongly was he slagged off for playing the victim? Can't have it both ways.
  19. We're only a few steps away from chanting "Premier League, Corrupt as fuck" and/or hold up up "Premier League Corrupt" placards/banners. Urgh, we're becoming that fanbase. Always the victims. Wasn't Cooper slagged off for trying us to play the victim? Looks like it's rubbed off.
  20. All those more concerned about what other clubs are or aren’t doing rather than our own, crying and moaning about Cunha not being banned (rightly or wrongly) against us ruing and claiming 'we never have any luck with players being suspended against us' and this 'the whole world hates us', 'woe is me' attitude. Morgan Rogers, Jhon Duran are both suspended and Pau Torres is injured. There's the luck you're crying out for.
  21. I mean Soumare had brilliant performances against Man Utd in the cup and against Ipswich, both under Cooper, but lets ignore them. Don't let a good agenda get your way! Perhaps something has just clicked this season for him. There was talk of him struggling to adjust, home sickness, I think perhaps he's just more settled and/or knuckled down. Another alternative view, is his contract will be expiring before he knows it and he's realised he needs to perform to a) Get a move or b) Get a new contract here. (We've seen that before) Agenda's aside and answering the question - Most Improved player under RVN? Bilal El Khannouss.
  22. Amazing….Incredible how sustainable it is for them! Right?
