Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
ACF replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Fairly sure there’s a three year rolling period where you’re allowed to make a certain amount of loss. That allowable amount is much smaller in the Championship. So whilst we’ve made money from transfers, our wages are still way too high, and any further investment probably locks in loss over the three years, meaning more PSR problems. -

We couldn’t afford to pay out his compo due to QPR, you think we can afford to sack him?

Critical thinking non existent “King Power as a business has been suffering since COVID” - yeah Top absolutely couldn’t run a business (a monopoly mind you) into the ground could he? Thai tourism numbers are at the same level as 2016-2017. Europe travel retail spending is up. All regions have caught up to 2019 travel retail levels (besides Asia). Only thing that’s changed is the man in charge of the business. -

First half vs Cov was good. Ric played the inverted role well. Sub him off at 60 for Hamza. Allow the midfielders to get up the pitch and move the ball around. They are the focal point of this team, not our wingers or strikers. I’m saying start Evans but we know it won’t happen. If we’re going to play with strikers who aren’t good enough, I’d rather play one who has got a future, than their best years behind them. Get him to play in behind rather than him holding up the ball. Stol Ric (Hamza @ 60 mins) Okoli Nelson Training cone (blue preferably) Skipp James Page Fatawu Evans (sub for Silko) Mavididi If we can’t afford to sign a suitable training cone, play Aluko and let him bomb forward and cause a bit of chaos.

Did we have better all black clobber than them though?

But what were the terms on the monies we were due to receive on the four players mentioned? What if the cash they were to give us was split over a 7 year period, and quite frankly due to our relegation, no shit we have a cash flow problem. You’re only looking at half the equation. Losing 6% to have the money now, versus using an overdraft facility, is the smarter option. However, the smarter solution would be to have an income that matches our expenses that reduces the reliance on these types of loans. -
Macquarie Loan for Parachute Payments Rolled Over
ACF replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
In a vaccuum I would not be overly concerned by this. I think the ‘borrowing against future transfer fee’ loans were totally overblown and not a dumb idea. in our current state though it’s just another sign that shows our income is just completely underdone vs what it needs to be. Wage bills need to come down quickly, which hopefully they will after the next load of contracts expire. Would prefer if everyone also looked at the income side of things, rather than just expenses. Football is an expense and typically you have to spend to be competitive. We’ve got a lot of wasted cash being spent, but it could be balanced if the club were performing better commercially. -
Would Joseph be much worse than our other RB options?

I really do enjoy how quickly he seems to end up forward and not just hanging about on the wings waiting for it to be recycled to him. It’s something different that defences would have to cope with.

You’re right, individual sponsorships are not going to be as lucrative. This is fundamentally my issue with the club, they didn’t capitalise when times were good, because they do not do a good enough job of selling Leicester the brand. As the most basic example, the club shop is as we are all aware, a total joke. I had my first born last year, was going to buy him a shirt, I was unable to access the club shop website for 4.5 months. My ask back isnt to just bring in one lucrative sponsor, they have to start fighting for corporate and fan pounds harder than ever, they can’t just meet their KPIs because we’re 5th in the PL. if the sponsorship dollars are not as lucrative they have to actually start working! -

Any cash coming in is vital for us to stop loaning money from Macquarie Bank, which I’m not against for speeding up cash due from transfers, I’m only against using future money which isn’t guaranteed and hedging our future on cash flow loans. Everyone wants us to live within our means. Why is there pushback against growing our means off the pitch, something we’ve completely and utterly failed at previously.
