  1. I think there’s a need to go with someone who has had experience in football in the East Midlands. Overseen success and infrastructure improvements. Maybe someone who has had a few down years and is wanting a bit of a reset, maybe take a step down a level to bring a club back up. All this to say I think we should hire Susan Whelan.
  2. If only his ability matched his looks
  3. Coady scoring from a corner nailed on
  4. #WhiteTrainerPower
  5. Abandoned the white trainers vs Cov get rid of him immediately
  6. He’s the player I’d want to bring on 2-0 up with 20 to go, not starting every week.
  7. Probably overreacting here, but at the moment he’s good for one or two major errors a game. Sloppy passes, trying to do too much in the wrong area of the pitch. Really need him to stay focused and disciplined, feels like he loses concentration. I’d blame youth, but think he needs Marti to really push him on some of these things.
  8. Carranza looks like a 10/10 signing (he’s bloody gorgeous)
  9. Bouba was fine but he is the safest player in the team. He looks for the easiest pass every single time, which is why his mistakes always look horrendous. Does not have the courage to break a line with a pass, switch it, take on a man. I think he has the ability which is the infuriating thing. It would free up Winks even further if he was a a threat.
  10. Ricciardo loves a shoey Australian as he comes, But our right back isnt Daniel Ricciardo
  11. Impossible Ricky would never walking his dog at the training ground
  12. Brilliant goal
  13. Winks and Ric for Mav and Bouba
  14. Fatawu too concerned with nutmegging every player and forgotten how to play a pass will score a belter in 25 minutes
  15. We’re gonna win 5-4
  16. Two strikers on the bench
  17. Just speaking on the Melbourne stuff, tensions with police are pretty high as: 1. ‘Sovereign Citizen’ shot and killed two police officers and is still in hiding in the bush 16 days later 2. Nazi’s organised/co-opted a protest under the March for Australia/‘end immigration’ banner, then essentially fought everyone they saw, including attacked “Camp Sovereignty”, an indigenous protest site, highlighting indigenous civil rights issues. Naturally they have an affiliation to Palestinian movements. 3. Up in Sydney, violence between Zionists and Pro-Palestinian protests at Bondi Beach. The second “March for Australia” demonstration is this weekend, where they’re being joined “Australians march against government corruption”. This is countered by “Rally against Racism” and a “Sovereignty never ceded”, a day of protest in response to the attack on the indigenous protest site. Going to be good fun in Melbourne this weekend, but hopefully a more few Nazi pricks get arrested.
  18. Would like us to stop talking only about the players ceiling when it comes to potential, and think about the floor of their ability. Example, Monga at his very best, and everything going right, could be top top top. If everything doesn’t go right, there’s still a Prem quality winger there. It’s of course exciting to think about what a player could be, and their training/development should be maximised to reach that. But we need to try and be a little realistic. Braybrooke was going to be England’s Modric if everything went smoothly. He’s on loan to Newport. I think his current floor is probably a championship level midfielder, which is nothing to be sniffed at all.
  19. Last 18 months of Rodgers destroyed the club more than Cooper and RVN did, but I can’t say he was the worst manager. Cooper destroyed what was promising under Maresca, as he is so limited as a manager, he didn’t know any other way. RVNs job was impossible and also the total wrong hire, based off what Cooper had left. Cooper takes the cake for me, purely for the off field and transfers.
  20. @Miquel The Work Geordie Chasing Carranza?
  21. Yeah sorry that’s what I meant - poorly phrased! But would be happy with a loan and fee for next Summer’s PSR!
  22. Very good window, driven by the outgoings. Got great deals on Kasey and JJ, players not good enough for the next level, and a decent fee for Ndidi. Coady’s wages are off the books. Whilst I didn’t want BEK to go, we’ve got a head start on next years PSR. Mads was always going to go and based off his performances so far, we’ve come out on top there. Only miss is not selling another CB, feel we’re a little heavy there and a couple of good earners that would’ve been good to have shifted. Desperately want to see Nelson in, and I think Harry Souttar will surprise a few when he gets back to fitness. Got a Socceroos spot under threat in a World Cup year, so he’ll be out on loan in Jan, or training well enough to get a chance. Alves, Cartwright, Braybrooke, Wilson-Brown, Opoku all on loan is great. Golding, Wanya and Evans need to be being pushed to clubs ASAP. Incomings wise, think we’ve strengthened smartly, just very late in the piece. Not going to judge them until they’ve played 10 games, but seem to be the right type of signings. Begovic is just a glorified GK coach, something we needed. Getting one of the other incomings in earlier could’ve meant a deal for Bouba, which would’ve been thrilled about. Even without the incomings, think we’re a more balanced squad today than the end of last season. Lot of youth pushing for spots, less high end earners, and some proper deadwood (and middle of the road squad members) moved on. One of Faes, Vesty or Bouba to go to Saudi with a transfer fee next season, and we’re absolutely flying.
  23. So On. Not In.
  24. So I was right, they’re not in the Heath.
