Alves please

Yep, BEK to the wing, Ayew up top dropping in. partnered with Vardy, would’ve worked a lot better IMO
-
Yep agreed. Cooper took off Ricardo to balance the change to go back 3, but then we lost in midfield, trying to then chase it with a tonne of attacking midfielders. Could’ve bought on Odsonne to try and spread the defence further higher up the pitch, but instead we had four players aiming for the same space, wingers tucking in as well as Facundo/BEK/Soumare. Absolutely no structure to it.
-
Wasn’t just a “low block”. One of their wingers tucked in, to help nullify the Winks/Ricardo overload, which then allowed their DMs to go after Ndidi/Facundo. They cut off our midfield options which was our strength in the first half. Cooper didn’t adjust to exploit that change.
-
In defence of Cooper, I actually thought our first half was pretty good, think we caught Forest by surprise with our set up. Also, two major mistakes in defence, complete coach killers. He can’t do much about those errors. I think Woods first was just excellent centre forward play. But second half Forest adjusted, and his response was more attacking midfielders, and removing Ricardo who was freeing Winks up no end. The worrying part is players look like they don’t know where the goals are going to come from, and lack of coherent style of play. Our goal was players reverting to last seasons play and it flippin worked. That’s the indictment on Coops. Throwing on BEK, Soumare, Ayew, with Fatawu, Facundo and Vards was just throwing shit at a wall to see what stuck.

Attacking lineups don’t equal playing attacking football, as you have witnessed tonight in the second half. -

Sorry? Faes and Justin making errors, failing to clear lines, is us playing not conservatively? Two pieces of incompetence does not equal ‘not conservative’. We’ve had one shot on target, but we’re not playing conservatively? -

Yes, teams typically concede goals when they don’t have possession, excellent analysis that If you’re worried about switching possession both Facundo and Justin did literally that, after Ricardo. We had possession and lost it. No one is saying Ricardo did the right thing but it’s the lack of clearing the lines that is much more of an issue. -

This argument is futile. Let’s extend it further, why wasn’t a midfielder marking Yates? Sure, Ricardo had the switch of possession that led them to score, but we still had ample opportunity to rectify the error as a team. Yes Ricardo made an error but so has every Leicester player on the pitch (besides Mads). Two massive opportunities to clear it are FAR more important, that this is barely worth highlighting. -

First game I’m watching with my month old son, might rename him Facundo post game. -
He was REALLY impressive here in Melbourne as an assistant, and caretaker for a few games. There’s a reason he was identified by CFG.
-
Can’t believe their are actually people who are saying “surely we cut him some slack” You are saying this after we have beaten the bottom of the table team with the last kick of the game, after we went 2-0 down, and they had to have a man sent off to help us get over the top. Good comeback, celebrate the win, but take the last minute winner emotion out of it, today should literally be the bare minimum.

Thing is with these price, wea don’t make much profit, we likely only get the fee from adidas So when the contract is up, use Fox Leisure or another pseudo brand, that “sponsors” the club for an amount similar to an adidas or puma would pay, then make the shirts ourselves for the pennies it costs, and retain the profit. Get @Ashley to design them. FFP problems solved cheers folks.

Maybe Huth has moved into a coaching role? I’ll stick my hand up for this job on one condition, every single loan will be made to the A-League so I don’t need to travel or watch games at 3am
