Beggars belief how Souttar wasn’t given more of a chance here. He was brilliant for Australia at the World Cup, which we then signed him after. Game saving tackle against Tunisia will always stand out. He has all the qualities as pre-United Harry Maguire. He’s great from set pieces, got great recovery pace, and he’s absolutely massive. Not as good as Vesty on the ball but he’s more than passable. Socceroos Souttar is brilliant and I’m glad he’s getting consistent minutes to show what we can do.

The KilworthFox influence finally about to shine through on some players? About bloody time -
As @Dunge alluded too it’s trying to be black and white in a world of grey. However we have all seen those people who as soon as they retire they suddenly age quite quickly. Might be less about the work versus the sense of purpose and routine.

Potter wanted his own DOF as well right?

U18s beaten 4-0 at home to Brighton by the looks of it -
Again, finance vs accounting. We HAVE the money we just can’t spend it. £75m means nothing, it’s the yearly breakdown that matters. Assuming they were all four year deals, £18.75m of transfer charges this transfer window. All of the incomings were last financial year. Based off the increased revenue expected it’s a very small amount. Not passing judgement on whether good or bad, but the spend number means nothing without the context.

El Khannous and Fatawu listed as u21s. Will need to clear space next season for them?

Go on then, what’s the worst bit? -

Just in case other clubs are doing some research, he’s completely overrated. Don’t get excited he’s not our next hope and saviour.

We just read the rules We just read the rules We’re nothing special We just read the rules

Didn’t breach the rules because they’re so poorly written, and did not overspend are two very different things! We didn’t argue we didn’t overspend, so that period will certainly become involved. The other bit that i think is quite important, we made a lot of effort to reduce our spend following relegation, didn’t sign anyone in Jan, didn’t replace Casadei, sold Maddison, Barnes, KDH, lost Maresca, didn’t resign Fatawu, Ndidi until post July 1. How many £ms of wages left as free agents? We had high wages coming down, that whilst there were cuts, we couldn’t do much about the wages we were left with - it’s not as if we increased the contracts. We made a lot of effort to get there. If we hadn’t have pissed off the PL/EFL, I would be comfortable. These accounts are going to take forever and a day, they’ll be reviewing them very closely to find a way to get something to stick. The other part is I’m not sure there actually any punishment until we drop back down.

McAteer is a Communist?

Not had one in a few years tbh

Is the plan to hold on for 60-70, then bring on Facundo, Bilal and Stephy to run at them?
-
Think the below would be a lot better balanced without giving much up. Mads Ricardo Faes Vesty/Okoli VK Skipp Winks Facundo Fatawu Ayew Mavididi Vardy on for Ayew Bilal for a winger
-
Okoli Faes partnership could be an absolute bomb scare

Also means there’s space for the u18s to step up into the u21s and develop further. -

Harshness is subjective though isn’t it. I thought the Porsche dealer was being harsh when I offered my 2017 Subaru Impreza up for a straight swap for a 911 and he called me a fat stupid bastard but he probably wasn’t that far away from the truth. Important to note, not comparing Bouba to a 911.
