he had a squad that, while having a slight wobble due to a lack of depth in the cm area, pretty much romped the championship. all he needed was to keep things the same and bring in a bit of squad depth. instead his coaching has deteriorated this team and the players don't seem to know what the plan is, if there is one. he's clearly out of his depth
-
gone by October if we've got any sense, so expect him to get a massive contract extension next summer after we've broken Derby's lowest points tally record

probably looting a lush or Greggs

https://fbref.com/en/stathead/player_comparison.cgi?request=1&sum=0&dom_lg=1&player_id1=ca45605e&p1yrfrom=2022-2023&p1yrto=2022-2023&player_id2=e82900ef&p2yrfrom=2023-2024&p2yrto=2023-2024 so, slightly better at the defensive work than Daka, tends to carry the ball forward a bit more but slightly worse at finishing... not sure what value this brings unless we're planning on sending Cannon out on loan and want to maintain squad depth, or we're planning on playing a two and just writing off our best attacking outlets in Mav and Fatawu

oh hey, missed this. it's false by the way. Lia was actually an elite swimmer in the men's divisions prior to starting transition, finishing 2nd in the 500m, 1000m and 1650m freestyles in the ivy league 2019 season. her ranking plummeted after starting hormones, and then came back up the rankings when moving to women's swimming. Her relative times in the 500m freestyle against the rest of the ivy league gives an indication of not actually having that significant an advantage Lias mens finish: 4:18.72 Mens record: 4:06.32 Relative finish: 1.050x the record time Lias womens finish: 4:33.24 Womens record: 4:24.06 Relative: 1.035x the record time that would be a minor relative improvement, the sort of thing you might achieve as an athlete given 2 years of training perhaps? all completely irrelevant mins, because this is just people crying foul at losing to women who are less feminine in appearance than them. the same freaks are losing their shit over Ledecky because even though she was an Olympian at the age of 15, they've got outrage to feel and facts be damned.

not the first great to get their send off cut short due to violent conduct: I mean you just did, and also if you don't want to get punched then really a boxing ring is the wrong place for you.

he's absolutely right about the lack of a sporting project. there's no clear joined up thinking or identity to the club (wonder if there's a director role that relates to football that would be responsible for implementing that), but it's a bit of a "no shit" comment.

that's one fine legitimate election there. absolutely no suspicions of fraud going on

dude gets sacked, sues for wrongful dismissal and wins to get reinstated, then immediately turns round and quits. iconic behaviour -
the average tenure of a manager nowadays is 2 years. the point of a director of football is to provide continuity in the face of that, having a set identity that head coaches and players are recruited in to, the financials of building a completely new squad every other season is terrible.
-
signed Noémie Mouchon from Reims. 9 goals in 22 last season for them, played under the new manager. encouraging signs given we generally struggle for goals
-
charity case, they're raising money to fix their cathedral, spires ****ed
-
no thanks, guys got zero goal threat
-
yea but that doesn't suit the weirdos who desperately want Enzo to fail as if that'll justify their constant whinging about us not just sticking Souttar up front and smashing it at him
-
presumably that's why last season on a per 90 basis Daka made more tackles (nearly 5x), with a greater tackle success rate, more ball recoveries, with more shot and goal creating actions, more passes with a better pass completion ratio. all Cannon had on him really was progressive carries per 90, which given the way that the striker role under enzo was intended to drop in and bring the wingers in isn't a particularly big deal. daka is seriously underrated on here tbqh https://fbref.com/en/stathead/player_comparison.cgi?request=1&sum=0&dom_lg=1&player_id1=ca45605e&p1yrfrom=2023-2024&player_id2=4506aec5&p2yrfrom=2023-2024

and far worse than Dakas December-February... Daka is evidently someone who struggles for confidence. If that goal v Leeds isn't wrongly disallowed and he doesn't miss a 1v1 a few minutes later then he goes on to finish as our undisputed best striker, statistically he was our best striker in 2022/23 anyway. He's better than Cannon, he just needs people to get off his back for 5 minutes. You'd think having seen the difference between Iheanacho during lockdown vs the rest of the time our fans might have learnt about how crowds baying for their blood can make players underperform but apparently not.

we played three league games in that time, beating Huddersfield, losing to cov and drawing to ipswich. Are we really saying that scoring in a 4-1 win at home to huddersfield is stepping up and winning us games?
-
a midfield of workman can work, Liverpool won a title with three of fabinho, Henderson, milner and Keita as their cms most games, but they made it work with two electric wide forwards in Salah and Mane (ok, we can do that with Mav and Fatawu) and two very good offensive fullbacks. that is not Thomas and it's definitely not tucking Ricardo into a back three.
-
gives real concern that he sees Ward as a potential starter and is trying both out
-
Enzo very clearly valued the fans who actually supported the team and weren't clearing out at 80 minutes??
-
putting Ward in the shop window minimizes any chance of selling him. noone watching him play will be more convinced to buy him than they were before
-
Hagiography at its finest
-
Cooper will not keep us up, he barely did with Forest despite there being 4 basket cases of clubs in the division with him.

right? like gonna be honest, I ended up going to the mobile ticket simply because I had some other stuff going on in my life and didn't find time to do the card before the deadline, willing to bet I'm not the only one. they tried to force the issue and 70% of the fanbase still found the time to tell them to get ****ed, and there'll be a proportion of that 30% that think the club should get ****ed but missed the boat.
