Well, at least he leaves slightly less of a mystery man than Sergio Hellings. -

I mean his smile is infectious but is he considered to be particularly attractive? can't say I've seen anyone say that -

Adrien Silva? -
yea, dug back through the reports and they did that because they thought they could trick someone out of a wedge for him at the end of the loan. Is there a Johan Rudkinne anywhere in France we can try that on?
-
afaik you can't loan players with <12 months left on their contract. this is what happened with Eduoard last summer, palace had to extend his contract to loan him to us
-
hence no loan. A loan would require an extension. So he leaves on a permanent today or on a free next summer
-
same as with Eduoard last season, he'd get a contract extension as part of the loan
-
"shit players who offer so little" covers at least 20% of our squad and that's being generous to a few of them, and I feel like you're still missing the key point of needing to have some squad depth in each position and not be a single Skipp thigh strain away from having to have a kid like Braybrooke play 90s week in week out
-
the other way to put that is we'd have to go a third of a season without any squad depth at all in the most important position in the game (if you lose the midfield battle you lose the game most of the time). Is Soumare good, no, is he good enough for this division, yes, does he add squad depth, yes. We cannot and absolutely should not sell everyone without replacing them. If we have deals lined up to get the replacements in, absolutely sell, but it is a major act of self harm to just sell everything that moves without a succession plan
-
never mind not going up, if you strip the squad back to barely having a starting 11 in the event of 1 injury, you're most likely in a relegation battle. If we can get replacements lined up by all means yes, sell him but "sell even if we can't replace" is just rank stupidity, nothing more or less. Rebuild the club, not asset strip it and see how far it sinks
-
so Winks/Skipp as our only cm options for half a season then? unless you're inventing novel zero CM formations, going down to 2 cms is an awful idea

they're clearly going down the "we can beat Charlton/Durham so why try" route for this season.

if you've not won anything since the invention of the steam engine, you're not a big club. -
that about replaces BEK and Soumare and then still leaves us light in a lot of areas. I get peoples "drain the swamp" attitude towards this squad of pricks but we do need to have a squad left at the end of the window, not just an asset stripped mess
-
he's unsellable because it's 23 hours left of the window and we're already short in his position. We cannot put ourselves in the position of needing 5 or 6 incomings tomorrow, which selling him in addition to BEK would do, given Rudkin cannot do his job effectively to get all those incomings over the line

Honestly we could have dipped into second tier top flight markets like Belgium and Denmark, or even back into the championship for the likes of Gus Hamer, rather than go for those three, and we'd have been better for it -

honestly I think we'd still be a prem side with a proper manager last summer. Cooper was actively sabotaging us. Watching Abdul rip this division to shreds again and remembering that Cooper preferred to put Ayew and BDCR up against the likes of Ashley Young early season was infuriating. Could have had a lot more points on the board early on and not had the shitshow we had. -
play so much better with him in the team. If we don't get a striker before Monday it has to be him as the starter until January when he'll be off to afcon
-
still not sure what he actually does but was reasonable tonight

comes from the Rodgers school. Dominated the match by having the ball a bit
