  1. Comes across very naive in that interview snippet, just far too inexperienced to be running a football club, seemingly his lack of knowledge on the game also doesn’t help matters. Supposedly we were making changes to our football operations, where are they? We need a new sporting director asap, Top clearly needs better help or he might as well sell up. Unfortunately it’s difficult to have faith that they’ll get the sporting director appointment right.
  2. Annoyed by this one. Was my number 1 choice to add much needed depth to our midfield.
  3. Nevermind #WelcomeDaneScarlett
  4. “Experienced candidate” You might finally get your wish of Quique Sanchez Flores @winteriscoming 😜
  5. One sided matches galore in R4, but the QF’s for both the Men and Women look very intriguing.
  6. As I’ve just said to @Muzzy_no7 of course it’s highly unlikely we even consider him. But I just look at the availability list Finners, and he is about the only one that intrigues me because of the type of job he’s done in the past. You have a chunk of managers available that you know won’t touch us. Then you have a chunk of managers that might come across as realistic, but are probably not the right character in our current state. But if Collomosse is correct, and as you’ve stated yourself, it seems the road might lead towards Mowbray or Rowett.
  7. The more I look at available options, the more I’m leaning towards him. He has history of digging teams out the shit. A positive, energetic motivator who has shown he can galvanise a broken squad. Also prefers quick purposeful football. Knowing us it’s highly unlikely we even consider him, but we most definitely need his type of character right now.
  8. Glad I saw Tom Collomosse’s tweet first before posting my essay on why we should appoint Bo Henriksen.
  9. Same agent as Okoli and who Steve Cooper was under when we appointed him
  10. Rudkin would get confused by the hair and hire Robbie Savage instead.
  11. Looking forward to Russell Martin integrating him back into the team and making him captain.
  12. Gerrimin! https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5442622/2024/04/26/bo-henriksen-mainz-bundesliga/
  13. Bo Henriksen in! “I've never experienced a football coach like Henriksen. He's a very positive person, full of energy and very good professionally. The way he approaches the players, the whole club, is unique. Everybody loves Bo. He's positively crazy and exactly the kind of coach Mainz needed.
  14. We have a week to appoint Kevin Muscat, so we can see him throttle Nathan Jones as we smash Charlton 5-0.
  15. When Leicester sack Cifuentes, but Russell Martin is the replacement
  16. The fact Julian Stephen ended up at QPR, I’d put Haise on a similar wavelength. The job he did at Lens was incredible. But you just know what our list will consist of. It will probably be Martin or Rowett.
  17. Yep, because he did a solid job in France. Might have to get another essay ready on why we should appoint him
  18. Can be an iffy source, but he was right about Lee Grant getting sacked by Huddersfield, then Liam Manning being his replacement.
  19. Apologies mate, just going off what the spirits were telling me.
  20. Just a bit concerned that @winteriscoming hasn’t mentioned him yet
  21. Can’t believe Quique Sanchez Flores hasn’t been mentioned yet
  22. Franck Haise, Maarten Martens and Bo Henriksen have all become available in the past month. But we don’t really think outside the box. Personally for me, we need a Nigel Pearson 2.0, when he returned in 2011, he rooted out the shit like Matt Mills and Jermaine Beckford, while we signed the likes of Wes Morgan. We badly need a carbon copy of that right now.
  23. Last season felt like another 05-08 period was on the horizon and here we are. Said it many times, it’s years of mismanagement coming to the fore. We have a couple of bright sparks in this squad, but it is so badly assembled. We lack a striker, we lack a left-back, we lack depth in midfield, we lack physicality and we lack leadership. And we appointed a bang average manager to lead the charge. I hope I’m wrong, but if we’re not careful, we could very easily turn into the Stoke City of 2018-2025.
  24. The annoying thing is, some intriguing managers have become available recently. But one stain remains on the availability list, and that’s who we’ll probably appoint…
  25. Was willing to give him the Oxford and Charlton games, but after that, I hope he fvcks off tonight. Game after game we just get worse. Untenable.
