Wolfsburg with some managerial continuity. Wish we did that.
-
We’ve been linked with Kota Takai in the past, another Japanese centre back getting good reviews out of the J1 League. Junnosuke Suzuki - Shonan Bellmare

When July 1st hits 👀
-
I have it on good authority that it’s going to be Dyche. Same source told me we were going after Wilf Zaha last summer, two days later we were linked 👍🏻
-
According to Boro fans, Carrick was the one who pushed for Iheanacho to replace Latte Lath.
-
He can also play RCB, Maresca used him in that position a couple of times this season.
-
I’m mostly intrigued to see what Spurs do with Luka Vuskovic, they also have Ashley Phillips on their books. Ayden Heaven at Man Utd might be gettable. Chelsea have a few, but I think Josh Acheampong might be the most realistic. Simpson-Pusey at Man City will surely get loaned out. Then you have a few elsewhere, Yasin Ozcan coming into Aston Villa and Tyler Bindon coming into Forest.

Hopefully we take advantage of the Premier League loan market for a CB this summer. So many intriguing talents coming through in that position.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
kingfox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Excellent news. Some of these players may go on loan for a bit, but we just need a manager who will give these youngsters the best opportunity to thrive in the coming years. Developing youth is always important, but with the current situation we find ourselves in, relying on and developing these players feels more important than ever. -
Pretty much agree with @moore_94 list. Plenty of experienced keepers out of contract, but I’d give Mvogo the edge if he doesn’t renew. Centre backs, Mepham or Darling would make a lot of sense. Rasmus Nicolaisen(Depending on his injury) is a pretty solid centre-back, one of the best defenders in Ligue 1 for aerial ability. Would take Jimmy Dunne from QPR too, was their best player last season. Left-back, all depends if our manager opts for an inverted system or not. Central Midfielders looks a very uninspiring list, few experienced names but wouldn’t want any of them. If we have any budget, then most of it should go on two central midfielders. Strikers, this is the position where an experienced option might actually be a wise move. If we can get Daka out the door, hopefully we have some budget to sign a first choice striker, then get a more experienced option as back-up, but knowing us, welcome Andre Ayew.

We’ve all grown up with our favourites, but Carlos Alcaraz is the most joyous Tennis player to watch in our lifetime imo.

Quite simply one of the best Grand Slam finals of all time.

The problem with Dyche is how on earth do you build on from Dyche. Say you get him in as a short term fixer, he does end up stabilising us, but then we decide to move elsewhere. Who on earth do you turn to, when he’s more than likely built a squad for his style of football, which as we know is pretty old school and not pretty. Everton going back to Moyes showed some continuity, and that’s exactly what we need to give us a better chance of being stable in the future, a continuity plan though of Dyche, then someone similar, it doesn’t really whet the appetite does it. The narrative of him not giving youth a chance, I’ve pointed out in the past regarding that narrative not stacking up, fans who claim that clearly haven’t done enough research on Burnley’s squad during his tenure… However, he also does have a habit where he loves experienced players. When ideally we need to get the average age of our squad down, if Dyche came in, it’s highly likely that the average age of our squad may rise instead. If Dyche came in, you could easily see Michael Keane or Ben Mee or numerous other 30+ year olds walking through the door too. After what happened last summer with Cooper signing Ayew and BDCR, a lot of fans myself included, don’t want to see signings like that again. I can see why fans would advocate for Dyche, he does have his positives. But the negatives outweigh the positives, just the thought of his style of play at the King Power, along with the possibility of him bringing in a chunk of 30+ year olds, it’s a depressing thought tbh.

Henin’s era especially between 02-07 was the pinnacle of Women’s Tennis. This French Open was the first time since the 2005 Australian Open, that the top 8 seeds all made it to R4, Women’s Tennis has been crying out for that kind of strength at the top of the game for a while now. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come, but the way the Women have been at Wimbledon in recent years, I won’t hold my breath

Nobody is desperate for us to make another mistake. I’m just pissed off with the situation we may have found ourselves in. Potentially waiting until July because of PSR issues is criminal and incompetent. I think we can all agree, if we were actually a well run club, then Ruud would be out the door by now, with a new manager already in place, or at least in the works to be appointed in 1-2 weeks time. Yet so far, we have nothing but silence
-
Whatever you think of Sabalenka, hopefully it’s a sign of things to come when it comes to Women’s Grand Slam finals. At times since 2017, some Women’s Grand Slams have been far too random, while the WTA hasn’t really had an established and strong top 8-10 like it used to have in the days of Serena, Venus, Henin, Clijsters and others. Hopefully the likes of Sabalenka and Gauff can lead the WTA into a stronger and more consistent era 🤞🏻
-
Nothing sensible about having to wait because we’ve fvcked our accounts up. It just indicates that we’ve forced ourselves into a situation that we shouldn’t even be in. If PSR is indeed the issue, let’s just pray Danny Rohl doesn’t end up elsewhere before July hits
-
It would be ridiculous mate, because it will just indicate how much of a mess that we’ve got ourselves into. If we didn’t get ourselves in such financial shit, then you expect our managerial situation to be sorted in June. If PSR is indeed holding us back, then that’s all the evidence you need on how idiotically run this club is. If we were a well run club, then we shouldn’t have to wait until July. It’s just terrible preparation and you’re just inviting more chaos.
-
But do you realise how ridiculous that sounds though Having to wait because we’ve fvcked up our accounts so badly, incompetence of the highest order. Just looking back at the last time we were in the Championship, we appointed Enzo on the 16th June, Southampton appointed Martin on the 21st, Leeds appointed Farke on July 4th. It took Leeds about 10 Championship games to properly find their groove. Having the players back in for pre season work, with no real idea who the manager is, is crap preparation.
-
According to Tanner, the players are back in for pre season testing on the 30th. Leaving it until July would be absolutely fvcking nuts, and will just indicate how broken this club really is.
-
What about the option of a good manager that stays?
-
We were left back at square one when Maresca buggered off is what I’m saying. Then we took the wrong choice, and look where it’s left us now
-
That’s one of a few concerns I have with Rohl, seems like the type of guy who’d jump ship at the first opportunity if a Bundesliga team came calling. I guess you cross that bridge when you come to it, but he could well be Maresca 2.0, uses us as a stepping stone and we’ll be left back to square one again. What we need is a manager who we can build with, or at least stabilise us again. Is Rohl that type of guy? As much as I want him for his style of football, a couple of things don’t quite make him the perfect candidate.
