Just finished some gardening, come in to now see Gary O’Neil is favourite. I’m off to stab myself with a gardening tool.

I feel sorry for you and @Loxm Starting a fan channel, then having to analyse Cooper ball, to Ruud ball, to potentially Wilder or O’Neil ball. You should just do every stream with a bottle of bleach by your sides 👍🏻

🎵 Na na na na na na, Wasserman FC 🎵

Hahahahahaha The most lazy, unsurprising, least creative, underwhelming shortlist possible. Imagine waiting all this time hoping Ruud gets sacked, he eventually gets sacked and we turn to Dyche, Wilder or O’Neil. It will epitomise how far we’ve fallen.

Wilder for me comes in the bracket of could be better, could be worse. But if he was appointed, it’s yet another lazy, unimaginative and clearly agent driven managerial appointment. With the youngsters on show yesterday, if this board had any brain cells, they’d operate in a similar manner to Sunderland. Draw up a list of candidates who have good history of youth development and work from there. In that particular regard, I’d actually have Wilder over Dyche, but looking through Wilder’s history at Sheffield United, it’s such a mixture in terms of developing youth and his overall recruitment. At Sheffield United last season, he signed the likes of Michael Cooper, Harrison Burrows and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. If we were still in the Championship last season and signed that trio of players, I think many fans, myself included, would’ve been happy with that kind of recruitment. But then as I mentioned above about his recruitment being a mixture, he also signed the likes of Kieffer Moore, Rob Holding and of course a trio of players from ourselves. His history of recruitment is usually players who play or have played in English football. Appointing Wilder would be yet another indication, that this board are not moving with the times.

Wilder in, with McBurnie signed as our new number 9 🔮

Looking at the youth today, I’m surprised that some fans wouldn’t take Hasenhuttl. Of free agents available, you won’t find many better that have the track record he has in terms of youth development.

Gary O’Neil, Chris Wilder and Steven Gerrard all on the Wasserman client list
-
Raducanu missed the boat tonight, but despite that, encouraging signs with how she’s played at times recently, slowly but surely, she’s heading back in the right direction.
-
Get that bottle of bleach down your neck mate 👍🏻
-
A solid step up for him, will keep an eye on his progress 👍🏻
-
All depends how Raducanu handles Sabalenka’s weight of shot, but the Wimbledon crowd definitely can play a part here, Sabalenka’s had a habit of cracking in pressure situations before.

He’ll be in my top five striker targets if Rohl comes in. 7 goals in 13 so far for Brann this season. Decent aerial ability, ranks well for carries and dribbles, and also ranks well for possessions won, showing his capabilities to press from the front.

A very random royal box today, Roy Hodgson chilling with John Cena

Because on paper, you also expect them to be promotion candidates, and they ended up going for a positive managerial appointment. Appointing Rohl would be viewed mostly by our fans and opposition fans as a positive appointment, I’d put Rohl in the same bracket as Will Still. If we appointed Dyche for example, he’d be far more of an opinion splitter.
-
Southampton went with the fresh up-and-coming approach with Will Still, it’s only right to follow suit by appointing someone with potential like Rohl. From a style of play perspective, you won’t find many better that are realistic managerial options. My only concern would be his reliability on numerous 30+ year olds at Sheff Wed, plus some of his transfers were outright shit. But overall, getting in Rohl would be a very positive appointment.

This is an extract from an interview he did last year If he does come, I think he’d look to make us a more possession dominant team, way more than what his Sheffield Wednesday side are, who have averaged under 50% possession in the campaigns he’s been there. I also expect to see us build from the back, at Wednesday he seems to prefer a goalkeeper that has capabilities with his feet. The main difference to what we’ve seen in the past though, I don’t expect any tippy-tappy nonsense. Possession with progressive purpose rather than possession just for the sake of it. But if he can adopt that high pressing, counter-pressing style, then he is head and shoulders above most other candidates. That type of style for me personally, is the most enjoyable style of football to watch nowadays. From a statistical standpoint regarding some of his players, his set of strikers in Michael Smith, Jamal Lowe and Calum Paterson all ranked highly in the possessions won statistic, which to me indicates that he likes his strikers to be energetic and press from the front. Getting in Shea Charles to accommodate Barry Bannan was sensible business too. Winks or Skipp could easily play the Bannan role, it’s just about finding an energetic box-to-box midfielder who gets stuck in to go alongside one of them.

Can’t be playing Rohl ball on this pitch, Dyche it is.
