Tete didn't work but how much did that actually cost us? We weren't lumbered with him for another three years. This signing has potential to be better than Tete. It also has potential to be a lot worse. We're not covered.

It's pretty obvious already this is what he wants, he was supposedly like this at Swansea, and I think he's had more of a hand in the Forest chaos than what was made out. But beyond his personal preference it's the fact we just cave into those demands. We appoint managers who are very different from each other, let them dictate our transfer policy and end up with this never ending mish mash of players. Rudkin is truly, truly terrible. He's dictated to by managers and agents and seems to come out of 90% of deals we make on the slight wrong side of value. We end up pissing around for weeks, months failing to get players in and then panic on things like this. We're the only club outside of Saudi Arabia who'd pay that for Skipp and Ayew. We also hardly ever sell anybody. Rudkin's ineptness is a massive bottleneck for us. It's so obvious to the point I just can't be bothered even debating it anymore, people believe what they want to believe. But we're stuck with this so what hope have we got? There's no serious pressure on them to force change either. This place and Twitter are echo chambers.

You've been about the biggest moaner in here to be honest.

We were doing this a year ago as well. We were taking punts on these types of players, such as Fatawu and Hermansen - two players with 0 minutes of PL experience before the other night who ended up being two of our best players in that game. We already have a lot of PL experience - as much as basically anybody who has ever been promoted. We really don't need to pay a premium to get more of it. This is Rudkinomics at its finest and Cooper's recruitment is a huge red flag to me as well. He got a free pass from basically everybody because Marinakis is a cretin but it's pretty obvious already he had more to do with it than made out. The fact Rudkin has just caved into this as well. We've learnt literally nothing.

The deal that encapsulates everything about this ridiculous regime. You can't fix stupid.
-
I don't know if this is the case for Glover but I'm a little more sympathetic as I knew that previous scouts were often ignored or overruled.
-
Tapsoba was actually lined up in the window we ended up signing Ryan Bennett. True story

I have left early before but I only do it when it's clearly game over (though I did leave at 4-0 at Bournemouth one year and we got it back to 4-2, I had a few minutes where I thought what the **** have you done ) but I do think people who leave early with just a goal in the game are mental. Like I don't really know why you'd go at all if that was the case.

Yeah Fatawu was an exception as we had an obligation. Getting him out of Tony Bloom's grasp is going to be like doing a marathon on the sun.

He's really really good.

Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread
Dan replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
First 50/55 minutes was everything I feared, arguably even worse. But futbol eritage is alive and kicking. The turnaround in performance and attitude after that goal. Really hard to not be encouraged by that. We went into the first game against Brentford two years ago off the back of a dire summer where we'd been hoping that the football would distract us but it just reinforced everything bad going on. This time around the game has genuinely lifted spirits. The second half was the first time in ages I felt like we were playing above ourselves. -
Another £20mil on Ayew? Don't give them ideas.
-
We are the only club in this country who would cough that fee up for a midfielder who doesn't even massively fix our issues. Absolute insanity again. This is what happens when you have inept staff put you on the back foot and you end up panicking.
-
How much are you talking for Adebayo? We could do a lot worse.

Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread

No you aren't. Those responsible for assembling it seem to agree as well. -
Don't get my hopes up

I can only assume we're selling Hermansen if there's anything in this.

Regardless of which ITKs knew what the fact of the matter is we have a poorer team going into our opening game of this season than we had at the end of last season, despite having almost four months to do business. It's a complete disgrace. We are an unserious, unprofessional outfit. At least the relegation will hopefully humiliate those in charge too.
-
Funny reading some of the earlier pages and seeing the "we'll be fine" types with egg on their faces (as per), you cannot blame being for being sceptical, we have a track record of this sort of thing. They should start on the back foot. I just find it amazing how many people's default position always returns to trusting those in charge. How many times do they have to prove to you how inept they are? I highly doubt they were ever in for Ioannidis as well. Bullshitted Percy just to make it look like something was happening. We've been promoted for three and a half ****ing months and we have a worse side than we went up with going into our first game. Stop ****ing gaslighting and pretending that this is normal procedure. Look around at other clubs. We're the worst run club in the top flight by a mile. I think only people like Chansiri and that Reading owner are worse in the top three leagues (assume West Brom's has now gone). Disgusting.

Worst season in the clubs history incoming.

I hope it's bad enough to force a proper turn on these ****ing *****. -
Get out of this club you ****.
-
We hit such a height that returning to being an also-ran this quickly simply shouldn't have been an option. Can't believe ****ing Bournemouth are a stronger club than us in 2024.
-
I feel you completely but to be honest I was here about two years ago. When they let Rodgers do what he did and took no measure to stop it I knew the only answer was we were run by absolute idiots. But what's really deflated me and frankly trapped me is just how accepting of this dire situation our fans are. Save for this place, which gets blasted as toxic but in fairness everything should be toxic while this disgusting running of the club is taking place. This place and Twitter, largely depressing to read, but at least two places that you're actually seeing the issues being correctly pointed out. I see our fans elsewhere online praising the owners, STILL (in 2024!!!) claiming we're lucky to have this. They aren't just against this running of the club, they actively support it. Maybe this is what people meant with the whole point about returning to a natural level. It doesn't have to be like this, but what are the fans going to do about it? We're appallingly run at every single level. A mess on the pitch, a mess off it. We're so lucky though. **** sake.
-
I didn't think even we could go 0/3 on those signings but we really might pull it off. We're just so bad at getting things done. I really am bored of this regime and I'm fed up of being told we can't do better than this.
-
Been whispers of it for a while but never actually sure if it's the case.
