Genuinely unsure what we do about the training ground in terms of a cost. Is there any way for it to generate us money? I think it was a noble idea but far riskier than any of us appreciated.

Spoke to a Stoke fan about it. Reckons they've had about 10 first team players available for these games, a ridiculous injury crisis. Playing their third choice goalkeeper, a winger up front, four centre backs in defence. This really is an opportunity to get a win and clean sheet - probably the weakest opposition we've played since Norwich in November all considered. No faith whatsoever that we'll deliver it. If we play Thomas we start a goal down and if we play Ayew we lower our chances of coming back from it. Hopefully Rowett isn't a moron.

Jesus I hadn't realised how much they had dropped off. Knew they had fallen a bit but over the last 15 games they've picked up fewer points than us, and only scored 9 times. We really need to win this.

My biggest concern about Rowett from a tactical / personnel point of view is he seems historically to favour experience in his signings. This makes me think he's going to piss our most winnable game of the next month on Jordan Ayew.

This is the simplest but truest summary. I'm that blackpilled on LCFC at the minute that appointing Rowett isn't even underwhelming to me. I think we're in complete freefall. This is very much just part of it. In this situation it's not a bad appointment for me. But I'm still not confident of an upturn - this squad feels uniquely hopeless.

I know it's nitpicking but how is this not already done? This should be the easiest move ever.

I think plenty keep theirs to keep their loyalty points. I've no concern about getting tickets to be honest when I can again though.

I think the biggest concerns I have about Rowett are that his supposed strengths are pretty similar to what Cifuentes' were - being organised defensively and Cifuentes didn't have them close to looking organised. If he could actually achieve this, then fair play to him, but I think that is far easier said than done.

I've just listened to this weeks podcast and there's a little segment about Leicester at the end - where they acknowledge that they completely missed this bit out. So you are spot on - it's even worse than they said it was.

Says it all about where I see the club now that I don't hate this. Good luck to him because my god will he need it.

Been listening to the podcast he's on for a few weeks and think he comes across quite well. This isn't me saying I'd want him here necessarily, but what is so bad about him? The majority of the digs at him I read seemed to be based on him being posh and the Brentisms during the series. What did he do so wrong at Sunderland and Charlton? In both of those instances I see clubs who were run into the ground and are now doing relatively well, even if it wasn't necessarily him who has taken them there.

Where's he said this? Merson's actually quite canny on this kind of thing.

I hope people are braced for the following as well, when this purgatory under Aiyawatt is over: - The new owner carrying the can for all of it. - All of the inevitable unpopular cutbacks and tough decisions that Aiyawatt hasn't made being the fault of the new owner. - "This is what you asked for" at the above. In some ways I think in an ideal world we'd have a Steaua Bucharest situation where the club basically broke into two with one backing LCFC and the other backing King Power. A proper rivalry formed. Everybody would be happier.

He wouldn't last six months at virtually any other EFL club if all that is true. You get rewarded for it at Leicester though.
