Sorry but this post couldn’t be any more wrong if it tried. Maresca absolutely out thought McKenna last night and got it spot on. They created next to nothing. Couldn’t get out for the whole of the first half thanks to our best pressing this season. Keeper has kept them in it for 2 or 3 big chances. And they’ve got yet another equaliser from a pot-shot. If anyone deserved to win it last night, it was Enzo. If you wanna criticise subs, then fair enough I could maybe see an argument. But for overall set up of the game? No.

Sheffield Wednesday was scandalous. But it’s took Ipswich two deflected goals, Coventry playing against 10 men, and Boro scoring a worldie of a free kick. And as the above poster says you take your chances and they don’t matter. I’m not too worried about it. Game is the game - we were all told and telling ourselves how crazy this league can be.

I think in a game where you’re two absolute goalkeeping worldies away from it being a 3-0 game… the absolutely silly throwaway take of “no plan B” makes even less sense than it did in the first place.

I get it’s needs must right now with Fatawu out, but this lad is just not a winger. Please pack it in and make use of what he’s good at.

The away fans chanting “is there a fire drill” in the 85th minute at 1-0 down was a new low, got to admit.

Justin won’t invert. He’d have never converted Hamza to that role in the first place if he fancied Justin there. Think there’s a good chance Hamza starts tonight and Ricardo plays as an 8. Hopefully KDH is fit.

I’m from Hinckley and the missus is from Atherstone and it’s so odd being so on the borderline. Hinckley is very Leicester as you’d expect. Venture into Nuneaton and you’ll get mostly Cov, but go up the A5 into Atherstone and you’re in Villa territory. Go into Lichfield/Tamworth now and again too and that is so Villa it’s ridiculous - probably more so than actually being in Birmingham.

It was one split second of Abdul Fatawu madness that cost us that yesterday. And yeah I get it, our egos are bruised losing to those rotters down the road… but it was literally one action that cost us the game. You’ve all surely watched enough of us this season to know what happens when we go 1-0 up normally and you’d all have a totally different outlook on life today. Wasn’t Enzo’s fault. Because Cannon was doing doggies for about 40mins and was absolutely knackered. And with absolutely no alternative on the bench his best solution was using McAteers legs up top for a bit.

All in all I thought yesterday was alright up until the red card, without that we get out of there 2/3-0. Admittedly it all went very negative after half time but it’s way too easy to say with with hindsight. Not really sure what he was supposed to do differently yesterday. If anything I thought he should have gone even more “negative” and put Hamza on earlier and even put Doyle on as another CB.

Presumably the referee gives the penalty for the awful follow through as he wins the ball, if that’s the case how is it not a red? Also… why is one red and the other not?

Someone earlier in the thread made a joke about Matty James, at least his were 2/3 bad injuries… Praet genuinely can’t stay fit for more than 2 weeks without stubbing his toe. Bloke is a farce.

Also worth adding he’s a bit of a dead ball specialist. Something we totally lack.

Looks like one to play the 8 role, but having that level of experience he’d easily be able to play winks’ role too. The injury record is awful, but what a coup if a deals done at the right price and wage.

Based on what I’ve seen he’ll be playing for the England U21s before too long. Don’t see him committing to Ireland.
