  1. Wow, you must have a seriously fantastic garden. Mines pretty small but it's got a large oak (complete with TPO) and a couple of hedges. We've got Blue Tit's in the box and, I think, a Dunnock in the hedge. We're quite lucky to have an ancient woodland (eventhough developers are eying the surrounding land) and a nature reserve within walking distance. Loads of Chiffchaffs have arrived this week with plenty of waterfowl on the pools. Hoping to see a Marsh Harrier at some point.
  2. Hopefully just tactical
  3. Quick Google and it seems the chick's feed themselves pretty quickly after hatching. Not sure how unusual it is to have eggs of different colour shades in the same brood. Perhaps more than one female using the same nest?
  4. Wow. That's a lot of beaks to feed!
  5. It was fiction not based, allegedly, on any particular case despite what the leader of the opposition stated. I don't know why these particular characters were chosen to play these roles or what statement they were trying to make about this demographic. If there is a need to show this type of content in schools then I think a proper documentary needs to be made using real life cases and the consequences of online influences. Stick to the facts. I don't think that a fictitious drama is very helpful.
  6. I'll raise you a McLintock to add to your list. Those around at that time will most likely remember it as the worst ever top tier season before this one. It was stopped by sacking the manager and bringing in a new one with a different approach and complete change of mindset. Our club was spiralling out of control and likely to drop through the leagues like others (Wolves, Villa) until Big Jock rolled up. A new management/coaching set up is where it stops, at least in the short term.
  7. Worse. Don't forget that we are currently on a record sequence of results breaking a record. No one had ever experienced this and it's still not bottomed out.
  8. Anyone would be forgiven for thinking it's a documentary. Even the Prime Minister seems to think so. No idea why this piece of fiction needs to get touted around schools. Kids can watch it on Netflix the same as anyone else if they want to. Are we to expect a knock on the door soon to make sure that we've watched it?
  9. Yep, I'd go with that. 2 nil at half time followed by a third early second half and then loads of subs. Going through the motions for the last 30 mins to eventually conceding a stoppage time fourth with the Etihad virtually empty. All standard stuff.
  10. What's the deal with Hamza? Sheff Utd got an option/obligation depending on promotion?
  11. How many have come good since moving to Seagrave? Seems that youngsters had just as good a chance of making it at Belvoir Drive including all those listed.
  12. KDH learnt his trade mostly at Belvoir Drive, didn't he?
  13. Unearthing talent for the likes of Chelsea and ManC (and Liverpool) for minimal compensation.
  14. Can't see any of the unwanted, disinterested players going anywhere. Who'd have them?
  15. I wouldn't describe Belvoir Drive as rough and ready. Probably as good, even better than some, in the top tiers.
  16. No reason to suspect that this group of players wouldn't have progressed just the same at Belvoir Drive. Seagrave is a massive White Elephant and the demise of the club can be traced back to its opening. It was Vichai's dream but King Power have failed on the rest.
  17. Or 10 resales, not that they will sell next season.
  18. This is where it all goes wrong for them. Should've upgraded their stadium instead, as we should've.
  19. Should we tell them?
  20. Why would any of them want to leave? We only hold the cards for Ward and Vardy.
  21. I'm not receiving anything. I've not yet renewed and would expect to be pestered by now. Perhaps they'll start ramping it up soon.
  22. I can remember the bonfire in the Derby Pop Side when the old broadsheet programmes where set on fire. Flames up to the roof and we didn't even get evacuated! Tell that to the kids nowadays...
  23. I actually got a police escort around the pitch to the away section at Cardiff, Ninian Park. Night match, got there late with players warming up and crowd already inside. A copper told us where the away fans were and being unfamiliar with the ground went in via a home turnstile. Dawned on me when I saw a skin head with a bluebird tattoo on his neck and heard the phlegm'ish accents. Decided it was best to stay undercover but couldn't trust my old man to keep his gob shut. We walked down the front and motioned to, hopefully, a friendly steward. They didn't waste time getting us out for our own safety given how rough it was in those days (late 70's). We got an ovation from the away section by the time we got around there
  24. Mansfield, FA Cup 2002. Must've been the last cup match at Filbert Street. Bleedin' freezing. Sons first ever match and James Scowcroft became his hero (and Filbert Fox).
  25. We were proven right to sack Claudio but the club still carries the baggage. One of those instances that is used as a stick much like those ignoramus idiots that think they're being clever reviving the 2002 administration.
