Have done this before. I saw a car get hit by another driver in a retail park. It was quite substantial damage on what seemed a fairly expensive car. Later that evening the driver/owner of the vehicle contacted me about it, saying she was really grateful I left a note etc. I then said if you need me as a witness etc let me know. Then to my surprise she said 'don't worry about it I'm not going to do anything and will just get it replaced myself' Bizarre but felt like I did my bit!

I was gonna say go to Insurance first and then report it to Police. Unlikely the latter will have resource to follow up but if you've got the other vehicle details that's usually okay and enough for the insurance company.

On the one I had, I see the positive of it. It means there's more gameweeks to the start of the season as opposed to 3 and then an instant international break just as the season gets going. With the later first window, you'd hope there'd be about 6 or 7 at least before the break. On the other hand it's going to seem like an age during the break before domestic football restarts!
