Antonio has always relied on his explosive pace and power. Even if he hasn't played crash test dummy for lambo, he's never really had the technical ability to cope if you took that away. If he's lost some pace or height on his leap, I don't see what he offers us. He's after a last pay day, no thanks.

He seems a bit more ruthless than Heskey. More willing to grab the opportunity than Emile did. If anything, Heskey was too selfless at times.

On paper we are a good prospect for any striker, especially a big man. Only one specialist striker in the senior squad. 2 x promotion winning wingers. 2 young wingers on the bench if they get injured. A possession based team. Other striker does not seem to have much credit with fans, possibly the new manager too. Opportunity to develop at the best training facilities in the league. Good chance to get into the prem in the next couple of years.
-
Yeah but we get to keep Fatawu at home too... Until the January bids come in.
-
The only downside I can see is that he may well be off to Afcon on the same plane as Daka leaving us with just Ayew. Id still go for this though.

Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)

He's not Prem standard and he won't be on a cheap wage. If somebody wants to give us money for him then he can go. He won't suddenly improve if we do go up. Him Coady and Vestegaard are all centre backs who are all at their best when we have the ball. Any decently athletic striker can expose Faes. He is neither big, strong or fast and he doesn't read the game well enough to cover for that. -
As long as he doesn't get massively exposed like he was under Cooper, he is probably a decent Lower Prem fullback. I don't mind him wanting to go (if he does) as we have some cover, and he's not going to be as suited to the inverted role as Ricky and Hamza. If he stayed, he would probably find game time at leftback like he did under Maresca.
-
The only reason he is here is that we appointed Cooper completely against our ethos. He wanted Prem experience more than almost any other feature. We had made quite the success over the years by buying cheap from abroad. Last year we binned that right off. On paper he made (some) sense. Young-ish, experienced, knew Winks well, had possible resale value if he did well. But it feels like our scouts and recruitment guys were scrambling to find guys who fitted a completely different brief from the last few years. Not a careful, deliberate, methodical scouting approach but "who can we get that has prem experience, but their team are willing to sell?" Hence we got Ayew, BDCR and this guy.

From what I've seen of Maresca Vs Pep. Even Pep is more pragmatic than Maresca. Pep is more than happy for the occasional route 1 long ball into Haaland. Maresca doesn't seem to use that option. (To be fair he never had Haaland as a Target man.)

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

I would hope that the club have probably sounded out a few people. Dyche for example. But they are probably being told to do one. Anyway. The performance today was better than we have had to endure for a while. I think we can see how we will set up going into the rest of the season. -
Good enough to have earned the right to start the next game. I don't mind having a smaller guy at LCB. His mobility allows Coady to move further up the pitch when we're in possession.
-
1. We need to convert to a low block/sh!thouse style and counter with both Vardy and Daka on the pitch. 2. None of our defenders actually enjoy defending. They all want to be involved in attacks, and defending is an inconvenience to them. 3. Top misleads managers about the amount of money available, and allows them to go scouting and approach players when there was never a chance of signing them. 4. Enzo would probably have taken us down too.

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official
ts_1010 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I feel like he's liable to try and force situations and chances at the moment. I feel like he's trying to do something that stands out so that he can get back in the starting line up. That's probably leading to taking risks and losing possession. I feel like Ayew offers JJ more protection so I can see why he's playing ahead of Facundo -
Clearly we have to get him minutes. Even just a couple of minutes are the end of a game we're losing 3-0 is worth it. If it convinces him to stay, great. If he still leaves then it affects his value at tribunal
-
Maybe it's just because he regularly used to cause us problems at both ends of the pitch. But I'm happy with this. He's a big old school CB. And the second he walks in, he's going to be out only defender who actually wants to defend. All the others seem to want the ball at their feet, like defending is an inconvenience for them. Dawson is big strong and loud. He gives us the option to sit deep and soak up pressure, which we don't really have. He is the closest we can get to a Huth figure. I think he's going to be good for us. (Watch him not sign now)
-
Might have been the lack of stones, might have been the lack of fit defenders.

3 goals in 35 appearances, 19 starts.19 years old apparently more of a AM than striker. Unless he's playing right wing, I don't see why we're bidding. We have a 20 year old AM and a 19 year old (Facundo) on loan. It's one position we don't need. If we were a well run established club he would be perfect to replace the inevitable sale of BEK in a year or so. But we are in no position to plan for the future.
-
Although I'd rather have had him than Coulibaly, we don't need a 3rd right back when we're desperately short in the attacking third. Rumours are that Lamptey wanted European football, so going to Ajax makes a lot more sense for him.
-
I was looking at that list, and something that occured to me is that Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are the only 2 decent strikers that hes found. Richarlison was already in the Prem with Watford, so I'm not sure how much scouting needed to be done there. Calvert-Lewin was a good deal to be fair at £1.5m. I'm ignoring Ings as he had been all over the league by that point, so he's not really been discovered by Glover.
-
I think they are more saying that it's not possible to sign him this window, than that there is some sort of plan in place to buy in the summer. This is a bit of a nothing article. We may have been in for him before he went to Monaco. But his price will have trebled by the summer if he keeps this up. We are shopping in the same price range as clubs like Monaco rather than simply taking their future stars.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official
ts_1010 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He seems to be fair more effective on the left. He was also unlucky that Bilal didn't see his clever little run into the channel behind their defence just before half time. As much as I'd rather we signed a younger player who can develop, today he was effective and showed intelligence in his play today. I also feel that we have real competition on the left for Mavi. -
Contract Extension please! He might actually be the first name on the team sheet. He deserves our respect for the turn around.

We. Know. Fvck All.

This looks like a Cooper line up. Keep it tight for 70 mins then throw on the changes. It's worrying that this is our "best" option. This front 3 should be good out of possession/collecting a pension.
