  1. While I do agree with this, it’s all true. You’d think that two consecutive managers would have realised quickly that Vardy needs more pace and tenacity near to him to provide chances that’ll he’ll still be bang on likely to take. And yet Cooper didn’t fancy Mavididi and Fatawu at the same time. And Ruud is more keen on the pace of two slow wingers. So an ageing Vardy up front on his own is clearly not going to work. Better managers and better recruitment would have eeked out the best still left in him but we got Skipp and Edouard. It’s not Vardys fault he surrounded by incompetent slow team mates, clueless managers, led by donkeys on the board.
  2. They chose the corporate ‘fan’ at the clubs height of success, like the fair weather ones that filled the stadium at the Everton match to the detriment of actual members. Success built on the shoulders and work of others now long since gone. Now the wheels have fallen off they’ve managed to alienate thousands of long suffering but loyal fans (£25 for physical ST etc) who now themselves feel distanced from their beloved team. By the looks of it lots are considering cancelling their season ticket. And the fans of the future will definitely be harder to attract, even with ticket price freezes. We need more than just platitudes.
  3. One thing likely to happen, the only assets will be gone and we’ll likely struggle to sell the dross and have limited budget scope for investment. It’ll then be entrusted with Rudkin and his band of merry men to think outside the box to get the squad competitive to stay in the championship. While I think we’d have heard about EFL wanting to **** us without lube by now it’s going to get much worse for this club before it gets better regardless of the EFL . It appears our youth players mostly without good experience of loans are what we may even need to rely on to play alongside Bobby Reid and Ayew next year. I’d rather the club not blow money on anyone to get straight back up, they can’t be trusted.
  4. Yearning for Cooper is fcking weird isn’t it.
  5. I’m not sure I trust the club. The options of good managers listed in this thread I assume won’t be on any list held by a poorly advised Top. And the organisational changes required from top to bottom to ensure we have a structure at all levels playing and non playing just won’t happen. If the club had plans to do that they’d be making those changes now (not sacking Ruud just yet) and not half way through pre season. They may eventually be forced to think outside the box when we struggle in the championship. A change in manager is one thing.
  6. Roundly booed and deemed not good enough by fans. A squad not fit for purpose in the premier league which isn’t their fault.
  7. The both shouldn’t be on the pitch. Or at the club for that matter.
  8. This is where we’re at Ayew and Bobby Reid as the undroppable starters of a slow turgid strike force. The same formation, we’ll concede and struggle to score. Another loss. It’s just rinse and repeat.
  9. And after all of that Bacundo is still - The 2nd highest scorer (joint with Ayew) - The 2nd highest assister (joint with Ayew) - 3rd for XA - Joint 2nd for XG - Top for both number of chance created and big chances created! And 3rd highest for tackles per 90. His stats speak for themselves.
  10. You love a sausage, no euphemism intended.
  11. Why you’d think you take Evan’s and Edouard as they might be needed if Daka gets injured.
  12. Neither are we.
  13. Which is probably what we should be doing too.
  14. BEK and Fatawu? Worth remembering Cooper wanted premier league experience and was keen on Skipp!! No doubt restructuring is needed and I’m certain an organised competent DOF would decide what does and doesn’t work and make required changes.
  15. Agent knows we’re doomed and wants to avoid his client taking a wage cut. They know will reject reasonable offers for him come summer. If we have any chance of staying up it’s a fully fit Wilf.
  16. Filbert Street. The success we’ve had at the KP have brought many fond memories that are up there with the best. But the KP is soulless compared to Filbert Street.
  17. They also mix it up with five at the back based on who they play.
  18. This. If the club had got the right players in (sold the right players) based on a consistent style and approach it shouldn’t matter who the manager is. For example you don’t appoint Cooper and you don’t sign Coady (he wasn’t an Enzo signing !) if the club is insistent on a modern possession based approach. Our recruitment is so inconsistent and changing with each manager. What’s the long term strategy and plan!
  19. Should never have appointed Cooper in the first place. He was the first and yet another mistake the board have made this year. Can people stop with the nonsense revisionism.
  20. But Facundo is Sh*t apparently
  21. You’d think we’d at least try five at the back to see if that shores us up defensively. Clearly we’re stuck with the same players who took us down. Do something differently. Haven’t bothered watching. Moyes has like expected got them motivated and organised. They’ll stay up.
  22. Straight out of the clubs handbook. Be seen to bid on an exciting player at the very last minute but bid a silly £1m above a bid already rejected. Obviously they know it will be rejected. But at least we tried. Like Sensi. One can hope we get players in but we fck around too much too late.
  23. The kiss of death for a Brazilian target.
